I don't review, this is new to me and I wrote a review but it didn't go through, novice, yes, so here I go again. I wrote this due to our experience as it was not good.
Anyway, I started off in my first review by writing, "What happened to the Spiral Press Cafe?" Well, it's been a while since we've all been to Manchester. So we went on our usual Northshire Bookstore venture and off to lunch in the same building that we usually go, but it was different, a lot different!
The person who took our orders was rude and frustrated by us, we were a larger party with children, the food wasn't great, the options for children were terrible and it was quite expensive for what you got and the service was slow.
On this visit to Manchester we were surprised by how many more choices there are in Manchester now than our last visit, which leaves us all saying that we don't need to come back here to Bonnet and Main.
But I need to note something. We all read the reviews on other platforms first before I eventually felt compelled to write this. There were very few, and I mean very few reviews of this place. I am now convinced that there are some bogus/fake reviews on these platforms perhaps by the owner or their friends because they differed drastically from our experience, and the place was very quiet when we were there.
Duly noted from a prior reviewer, a few of us had scones too and they were not fresh at all. In fact, quite a bit of our food wasn't fresh. One of our party had just carrot cake and they suffered with a terrible stomach. Maybe they're just not...
Read moreI just love Bonnet & Main; going there has become almost a daily must-do. The beautifully renovated seating area makes you want to linger with a specialty coffee, one of their scrumptious desserts (chocolate decadence cake is to die for) or one of their fresh flavorful lunch choices...the quiche is sublime. My husband is working his way through the sandwich offerings and has yet to be disappointed, the Beef Eater is his current favorite. The staff is incredibly talented, fun and friendly. If you are just visiting Manchester for the weekend or live in the area, B&M is a great place for coffee, breakfast, and lunch, to meet friends...
Read moreNot going to lie…we rely on this fantastic team of people to keep us fed at least 5 days out of the week. In fact, our only complaint, should we have one, is that they close at all. Seriously, our vote would be that they do not close during the week. Everything is good. EVERYTHING. You cannot go wrong with your choice. Breakfast sandwiches, yogurt and fruit bowl, sandwiches, salads…. And the baked goods 🤤. Favorites are likely a toss up between the cheesecake and the carrot cake. Any time is a great time to visit Manchester…just don’t forget to stop in and see these wonderful people and have...
