Update, the Mall now hosts the craft show Pumpkin Patch that was a coco. Now it's in the Mall and the street. As a vendor, we did not stay and go with. I am glad as it did not seem to be pulling in even half of them. From what I heard, they moved to "help bring back customers to the dying mall" in support. But all it did was bring people for one day not two like it was. But all it did was show more people than already knew just how bad the mall is. And I can not see how one day is anykind of support. So hopes it gets better, purchased by a company that can help it. Or just shut down and make room for new growth. This mall just needs to stop holding out and just close doors. It could stop draining Manhattan funds and allow for something useful. This mall has only a handful of stores, no food Court, and cut rate rip of arcade, and no life left in it. I cring when someone says I have to go get something we had shipped to a store in the mall. This mall had life 25 years ago. It was a place youth could gather, play at Aladin's Castle, and get a bite to eat at the food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreShowed up at 1150 today to see Santa Claus with my children (who were dressed up). They were supposed to be open to take photos at 1200. The Male photographer came to us and the other family in front of us and told us it would be 30 more minutes, due to an event. We decided to go to lunch and returned at 1240. There was a line waiting to take photos. At 105pm, the gentleman behind me had asked the Male photographer if there was a time limit on the photo, since the same family when we arrived was STILL taking their photo. The photographer then said Santa would be taking a break until 230 p.m.
I then asked about why they posted everywhere to include online why it said noon? I also told him this was beyond an inconvenience for us since we has to dress the kids up and drag them here to only wait with the expectation of not seeing Santa or taking a photo? He claimed it was their goal to meet the noon expectation. This is not okay and unacceptable and terrible business. I will not be coming back here and will be recommending business...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Manhattan Town Center is entrenched in the battle most larger malls across America find themselves. Trying to remain relevant in an age to strip malls and stand-alone megastores. The Manhattan Town Center has done a better than average job of keeping good stores open and working to keep people walking in the door. The mall property itself needs some desperate updating (they still have the SAME tile on the floor from when I was in high school back in the late 90's!), but the individual storefronts remain modern which is a credit to the tenants. The mall is safe and secure and rarely do I hear of problems with unruly kids or otherwise. We usually head to the mall once a month or so, sometimes just to see what's going on. They usually have a nice line-up of performances such a dance studios, music competitions, picture with Santa kinda stuff. So that definitely helps with pulling the crowds in. Keep up the good work and update the flooring! Will return,...
