Hair Cuttery — Attraction in Manheim Township

I have been coming to this hair cuttery for a while, at least a year. I have always had a good experience, which is why I kept coming back. This last visit, I got a shampoo and trim (like I always do) and the lady asked if I would like my hair blow dryed. I usually say no, but this time I said yes because it was pretty cold outside. I know getting a blow dry cost extra, but the board said “shampoo, cut and blow dry $26” so I wasn’t concerned. Imagine my surprise when I get to the register and my total is $36. I’m being charged a “$10 long hair charge.” This was never mentioned to me. Normally my total is $18 for a shampoo and cut, how INSANE that I’m charged almost $20 extra for a blow dry. You guys just lost a loyal customer.

Update: The owner did get in contact with me and refunded my money because I was not advised of the extra $10 charge in advance. However, she did say that is in the price for a haircut and blow dry for someone with long hair (2 or more inches below the shoulder), which I still think is ridiculous. She completely ruined my hair, I go every 2 months to get a root touch up of red and blonde highlights. I requested the same red roots and al blonde highlights no low lights. The toner after highlighting was left on my hair for 25 mins so my highlights are not the blonde I requested they are toned completely then stylist McKenna after she highlighted my hair and then put dark brown root touch up after the highlights washed out and blow dried. This now makes me look like I have months of grown out dark roots and due to her doing my roots after the highlights I have patched of brown throughout the new lightened hair. I was charged $251 for why I am unsure, she didn’t even cut my hair and completely ruined it. I have had to wear a hat since being serviced Tuesday. I’m really upset I have never been less than fully satisfied with the services I received from the manager Ladina who usually does my hair but when I booked the appointment Ladina was not available and I booked with McKenna. I think chain salons get a bad wrap. I got my haircut last week and I was not too certain if i liked it at all, but I think it was due to it being a big change, and the way that it was styled made me not like it. but after getting home and playing with it i have found to LOVE the new cut. I also enjoyed the lady who cut my hair. She was kind and patient with me even though I was standoffish. The cut wasn't something I wanted to do but had to do, due to the damage of my hair which is not her fault at all. I had a fair amount of oil in my hair trying to save it from all the belching that it had endured over the years so it was gross and oily and she didn't say a word.
