Manitowoc Goodwill Retail Store & Training Center — Attraction in Manitowoc

Compared to similar resale stores like St Vinnie, or thrift shops like Fox Valley Thrift Shoppe in Appleton or any other thrift store, Good Will is very expensive and overpriced! Especially considering it's mostly dead people's donated clothing and items that Good Will received for free.

I noticed several items marked equal to or even above retail store prices, plus I found many items that originated from the Dollar Store, yet Good Will has these same items priced for $2.99....Really?

Other than making occasional donations, I haven't been to Good Will in years but I have no intention of returning, nor will I donate any longer just so the regional director of Good Will out of Green Bay can make an annual six figure income after wages and outrageous bonuses off of other peoples hardships and free labor. Talk about taking advantage of the handicap. This should be illegal!

I use to think I was helping the needy and the handicap when I donated in the past, but after learning that the handicap employee gets paid in free training with unlivable wages, free court ordered community service helpers, and obviously after seeing the prices of their merchandise, I realize that there's no way poor people could even afford to shop at these Good...

Overall it's a nice store but the prices are getting outrageous how are families on a budget supposed to afford anything from their stores. Most of their items are donated and free items how can they sell them at such an outrageous price? I always thought Goodwill was a non-profit organization; but seeing their high prices they got to be making a very good profit off of the free donated items. And The prices on the name brand popular items are marked way up you might as well just go buy it brand new from the store. I feel bad for the low to middle class families who can't afford to shop at retail stores for new clothing and whatnot and now probably can't even afford to shop at goodwill anymore. Nice selection. Fair prices. Didn't care for the employees find it more important to finish the job that they were doing as opposed to helping a customer out. With that being said, I think that any structure of employment should emphasize the importance of customers and the monetary and financial gain for profit that they acquire by not making them upset or ignoring them are you looking for something. I probably would have spent more than $100 that I did and I found the other items I was looking for that I did not find and unfortunately was not...
