We got a hotel here through Priceline for my birthday last night. We arrived and checked in around four PM and found that the light cover for the light in the bathroom was on the floor. We tried to put it back up and realized there was no light in it. On our way out to dinner, we stopped and told the front desk clerk about the light panel being on the floor and there being no light. He paused for several seconds and said "What do you want me to do about it?" My friend said, "We wanted to let you know there's no light & we're headed out to dinner so now would be a great time to replace it." He said he was not supposed to have put us in that room and we stood there unsure of what to say in response before heading to dinner.
When we got back, he informed us that he put the panel back up but the light would mot work during our stay. My friend, shocked that all he did was replace the panel & not the bulb, said that it was only an overnight stay and we'd make due since he offered no other option. Later that evening, I got in the hot tub - the entire reason for picking this room & paying more - only to find the button was stuck in the hot tub and the jets did not work. At this point, it was ten PM and clear that the front desk clerk (who had been messing around on his phone in front of the fireplace in the front sitting room all night) would be of no help so we went to bed.
The next morning we found two women at the front desk and told them about the problems we'd had so far, including the light not working & the hot tub jets being broken. These issues were KNOWN ABOUT and they both said that no one should have been put in that room but because it wasn't entered in as a work order it got overlooked (only it didn't, because the night clerk flat out said he wasn't supposed to put us in that room the night before). Both women seemed highly uninterested & said they couldn't do anything but would talk with their manager. We were leaving within the hour so my friend asked if the manager could please call her when he got in.
No call ever came and when my friend called back to check in they said the manager was not coming in and nothing could be done because we were "offered another room" by the night clerk. This ABSOLUTELY never happened. We were told that he was not supposed to put us in the room we got and nothing more. He never offered to do anything and was begruding about putting the light panel back on. They then passed the buck to Priceline, since my friend paid through there. My friend called Priceline and they were gracious enough to call the hotel & try to work out the problem but the hotel STILL REFUSED to do a single thing to remedy these issues.
This place is a nightmare of lazy people unwilling to lift a finger to help their guests and they do not deserve your business. We would have overlooked the disappointing experience if something - ANYTHING - had been offered to compensate us for deliberately putting us in an unworking room but instead they lied to cover their laziness and unwillingness to help. I usually let things go, however, this time I had the worst hotel stay experience. Poor customer service. The person at the desk got mad when we went and told her about the situation. About the beds being dirty. There was nasty cum or very nasty white color on the bed. Without being calm, she was very irritated and did not understand what we were saying. She was very argumentative. We showed her the pictures and she was just like under the bed? We told her no it's on the side of the bed. She started telling be about cleaning the rooms ect. I told her I'm sorry I do not work in this field, I am a guest and I'm paying for this room. My kids are going to be sleeping here and I'm not comfortable with the way the bed is. I don't want my kids sleeping on that or next to it. Then she all of a sudden says don't let your kids play under the bed. I told her it's not that they will go under the bed, the point is it's still part of the bed and it's nasty. The kid do not know any better and will sit in the edge of the bed. She allowed us to have a second room. We went to the second room and it was dirty as well. We went back and the person at the desk was very very very irritated this time. She said I don't think we have a room here that will satisfy you and you bought your room for a third party. In my head I'm thinking okay? So she's telling me to just leave and refund? I'm the customer, how does she expect me to know how this works. Then she goes off saying she worked at holiday inn and it isn't any better. She went to the second room to see what we were talking about, she said we don't wash that part or the bed it just covers the metal frame. It's not even that dirty. When I go into a hotel room I just look at the blankets. We told her if she wanna go see the room next door that we had at first it was worst. She said no then we went back to the desk. Read moreI am giving this hotel an EXCELLENT rating because absolutely everything was great during my stay. I am a Trucker and had the unfortunate occasion to have some serious truck trouble. Found a local shop to take care of the truck issues, and am so glad I came across this hotel which took care of the me issues. I was able to make a last minute reservation and was pleasantly surprised at how well my room was appointed. The Front Desk staff were awesome, I also interacted with several ladies on the cleaning staff who were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was spotless, breakfast selection was great. There are so many things that can add great levels of stress for anyone in business when encountering various problems or set backs especially when they cost, but staying at this hotel helped tremendously to ease my mind and give me an opportunity to take a breath. I was unable to utilize several other amenities like the exercise room and indoor pool but did see other people enjoying these things.
