I’ve been trying to get custom stamps made.
On Office Depot’s website, custom stamps are identified only by their dimensions (eg “2 x 3”) while they’re identified only by their ID numbers in store (eg “ID2640”). Because the stamps have different names online vs in store, it’s difficult to order one online after checking a stamp for sizing in store. I check for sizing in store because seeing the area of a stamp against a physical envelope is a more intuitive and accurate way of figuring out the size I need, compared to working with abstract dimensions. The Office Depot website also doesn’t differentiate between the literal dimensions of these stamps, and the size of the area that they stamp (ie how big are the stamp’s margins?).
Jeremy was already aware that customers face these difficulties at Office Depot. I came in right before store’s close, and even though the Print Center was already closed, Jeremy showed me the custom stamps they had in stock, measured each with a ruler, and then pointed out for me what each stamp is named on their website.
I was honestly struck by how helpful and knowledgeable Jeremy is. Office Depot should update their systems so that this isn’t an issue in the first place — the whole point of their custom stamps is that they’re supposed to be easy for customers to order online without guidance. But despite having to work through systems that don’t make sense, Jeremy was patient and dedicated in solving a problem for me that shouldn’t have existed. Office Depot is incredibly lucky to have team members like Jeremy who put in extra work to make up for poorly considered systems — in 2024, your employees shouldn’t have to confirm which products are which by measuring them with a ruler.
I’ve rarely met someone so patient and persistent working in customer service. Idk Jeremy’s role, but if he’s already the store manager, make him the regional. People like him are the only reason I go to...
Read moreI had an amazingly negative experience at this store tonight 11/12/19. Dan was extremely disrespectful and rude to us as soon as we walked into the store. He rushed past us as he said something that was unintelligible. I asked him what he had said and he repeated it just as quickly as the first time. After trying to figure out what he had said, I figured it sounded like “Let us know if you have any questions.” But saying this so unclearly and as he was rushing past us made it very clear he had no interest in helping us. I wanted to walk out right then but chose to stay and look for the item I had come for. A very nice employee named Elijah came over to help us but since he couldn’t find what we were looking for, he called Dan over. It went south from there! I told Dan the impression he had made on us when we walked in and instead of acknowledging what he had done, he responded “I can tell you no one else has ever had an issue”. I told him I thought he was very rude and he told me I was rude and he told me to leave the store! He even at one point appeared to walk toward me as I was waiting at the front door for my child to join me. I was certain he was going to put his hands on me! I told him I was not leaving without my child and he told me, loudly, again “You need to leave!” Before I left the store, I asked him how I get into contact with his manager. He shrugged his shoulders and responded “I don’t know.” I will NEVER step foot in this store again because of this employee’s behavior. YOU DO NOT TREAT PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS WHO INTEND TO SPEND MONEY IN YOUR...
Read morePlease don’t ever shop at Office Depot. After using shady 3rd party companies for a desk order, they proceeded to never call back and had no intentions to after getting the desk sent back to them from the 3rd party company because they’d found damage. When I did call the customer service lady was not the most kind person but was able to re-send the desk over a week after it was supposed to be delivered. In store and the customer service lady said assembly would be done free, and upon getting the desk delivered, I was told otherwise by the person whom had helped me in store. The second customer service lady who’d transferred me was just as rude and upon being told that there was nothing they could do and being given 0 apology or anything, I was unable to be transferred back to the same lady I was speaking to. This is an Office Depot problem, not just with the specific store but in general.
I’ve been frustrated by this experience and will never spend a penny here ever again and encourage all others to follow suit. They do not care about...
