Freshly Leaf - Maple Grove — Restaurant in Maple Grove

They are extremely rude here. I like to order the mango green tea but instead of green tea base I request to substitute it with black tea. I know how I like my tea and order it a different way, never have I complained about my drink or asked them to remake it when I order it and I am willing to pay for what I order even if it’s modified differently from the menu but yet I am always met with so much disrespect and rudeness. The first time I ordered asking for the adjustment, the Asian girl looked at me weirdly and said no one has ever asked me that before so I said okay, I didn’t ask that, I asked if you can do it or not. She said that it was fine. I enjoyed what I ordered and never complained. The second time, the Caucasian girl gladly did it with no complaints, this was the only pleasant experience I had without resistance from the staff and again, I loved my order. The next time which will be my last coming here, I explained to the male cashier that I’ve ordered it before and he flat out says no he cannot make the drink or make any modifications or adjustments. I just want to know why not when I’ve ordered it in the past with no issues and I have never given complaints on the taste from ordering it differently. I am willing to pay so why not accept my money just because I want something ordered differently ? You want to turn down a regular customer that’s fine, I will gladly take my money...

For some reason the drinks at this location just doesn't hit the spot like the original Blaine location. Seems very inconsistent. There were other times I've visited this location and the drinks were done with better care and quality. But the last time I visited the drinks were just off. Ratio of the ingredients were not balanced. I'm sure it has to do with the workers. Maybe further training to make sure drinks are being made precisely. I had the Vietnamese coffee, and whatever ratio of syrup to coffee they used during my other visits were completely different. My Vietnamese coffee was not sweet at all. All I tasted was the bitterness from the coffee, and then a watered down flavor. I asked for vanilla and I could barely taste the vanilla. My wife's drink was also super watered down. The black pearls had no sweetness either. Idk, but freshly leaf is one of the very few places with sweet tapioca pearls. My last visit was very, very underwhelming. Tapioca pearls literally were useless. Costed extra too.

Owner, you need to step it up. Just because you have multiple locations now, doesn't mean your quality...

was my first time coming here and I was pretty excited as I love trying new boba places. The inside was super cute and there were cute little claw machines & plushies for sale. There weren’t too many customers at the time I went so I wasn’t expecting a wait. I ordered a Tropical Fruit Tea & substituted the crystal jelly for the black pearls. I waited probably around 8 minutes for my drink. I waited a little longer after that because the cashier didn’t understand what my name was and put something else. I had said it loud enough so I didn’t think the drink that was called out was mine. I went just to double check a couple minutes later and it was the drink I had ordered. The flavor was pretty good, it did leave a sour aftertaste in my mouth though. The boba was cooked pretty well, it just didn’t taste like anything. I would definitely recommend this place if you like boba tea, they’ve got a huge menu so I’m sure you’d find something you’d like. I don’t live in the area so this was kind of just an impulse stop so I probably won’t be returning. But definitely...
