I recently participated in a paint n sip party and was very disappointed. The owner clearly didn’t want to work with us. She never smiled and didn’t engaged with the ladies when we arrived and while we were painting. It seemed so robotic. She had an assistant to give us paint when needed. He didn’t say much but at least he was friendly. We were only given one brush for small and large areas which was difficult to use because one color would blend with another. At first she stated that we would have two brushes then changed her mind. She told us to use the water provided to clean the brush. We did but it didn't solve the problem. We needed a different size brush. Unfortunately the end result was our painting not looking like the actual picture. Even the artist/owner’s painting didn’t look like actual picture. Overall it WASN’T good experience. Someone working in this field should love what they do. My opinion… it was a chore for her. Everyone is entitled to a bad day but when people support your brand/career by spending their hard earned money… especially during tough holidays times…. You must give the BEST customer service possible. If not, the event should be rescheduled or the person should start a new career. I hope this constructive...
Read moreReserved the studio for a private paint event for 18 women. The owner was non-accommodating for guests who arrived a little earlier to set up. They Sent a not so nice message to me, while en route, demanding I pay for extra time, even though I already paid for 1.5 hours extra time. Our start time wae 12:30 but I was advised my guests and I could arrive the earliest 12:15. She changed it and told them 12:30!!! There was some miscommunication. Our canvasses were all set up on one side of the room with not much room to move, it was very uncomfortable and awkward. I specifically asked if they would provide an outline for our drawing, I was advised yes. They did not. Some guests had a hard time gaging the line placements throughout the painting and were disappointed. They supplied 1 small brush to paint with. For large areas on our picture, it took much longer to paint and caused our hands and arms to hurt and get tired. I was not happy. Lastly, this studio is a little small. I was told the most they could accommodate to fit comfortably is 20. They should not book more than 12 adult persons for a...
Read moreMy kids are 9 & 7 and have been going to different art classes for kids in Summit and then we found this class in Maplewood last year and have been going to it whenever they have days off from school. They came back every time saying they love it the best out of all their classes and ask to go back every time they have days off from school.
I highly recommend this place. The projects are creative, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed and the instructor is very kind and manages the kids well.
Kids came home with extra paints that they were very happy about using at...
