I visited the shop for a chocolate truffle making class which was purchased on eventbrite for about $90. The class lasts an hour, and the owner/shop manager was the coach of the class. You can taste the cacao, and some small pieces of chocolates. After the class, you can take home 4 pieces of chocolate truffles that you made. Basically itās a class where you learn the fundamental knowledge of how cacao grows, and harvested by watching a 10 mins video. Some other fun fact of how to make chocolate from the cacao nuts. Lecture was about 40 mins in total, and the chocolate truffle making process is about 15-20 mins. I did come to the class with some expectations and I donāt think the class worths the hype. I could learn all the fundamental facts about cacao from Google and YouTube. I was looking for more of an experience of making the chocolate. However the chocolate truffle was pre-made since they have to be in the fridge overnight. What we actually did was assembling the pre-mixed truffle, rolling them into the round shaped and adding toppings. It was quite an average experience IMO, and not worth what Iāve paid for the class.
The girl who work with us was fine however the whole experience was boring. First of all the cocoa they give you to drink was not good at all. My friend also thought this. She even finished hers because she did not want to be mean. On the other hand I can not. I took one sip and that was it for me. Secondly the 4 pieces of tiny chocolate that we tried 2 or 3 did not taste well and left a after taste. I also thought we were going to make the chcolate but all we did was a mold. We literally squeeze the chocolate into a mold, add some salt, nut and I think strawberry and that was it. There was a 6 minutes video on a computer but it was low. The event brite description said a picture plus a suprise. I had to ask about the suprise and the pictures. Then i was told "oh i can take the picture for you now" by then we were finished and was waiting to leave so no thank you. Then the girl claim the surprise was the cocoa but wasnt. She just forgot to give us the chocolate to taste. We also finish 12 to 15 minutes early. We got the cheaper package which came up to $44 thank God because to spend $80-90 on this place would be a rip off. Like someone stated the information we learned could be google or check youtube. Would...
