Had high hopes but Was so unimpressed. My boyfriend and I ordered a pick up order of Yuca fries, sweet potato fries, carne asada & pollo ala brasa. Upon pickup, my boyfriend went in and said he had an order to pickup under my name. The person behind the counter asked him for some kind of confirmation number. My boyfriend didn’t have it because it was through my phone and there’s absolutely no street parking so I had to let him out to pick it up. So then he was asked to tell him what was in the order. How would a random person know the name of the order and what time to pick it up? Doesn’t make much sense. Onto the actual food. The only good thing to me was the Yuka fries were unbelievable. And I liked the added sauces they gave to dip in it. However the rest of the order was mediocre. I’m from queens and we have a lot of Peruvian spots and this place just didn’t compare. The chicken didn’t feel like is was braised. It felt like it was breaded and fried. The carne asada was better than mine but still underwhelming. The sweet potato fries were soggy and like cardboard. Basically inedible. i wish I had a better experience as this place was recommended...
Read moreMy husband and I recently ate lunch here for the first time, and I really can’t rave highly enough about the quality of the food. He ordered a chicken bowl; I ordered the fish sandwich. My meal was a work of art: Incredibly fresh ingredients beautifully prepared, and so much food that I took half home for lunch the next day. The fish was fresh and flaky. The fried tomato was a stunning costar. The slaw and sauces were in perfect proportion.
The owner gave us a complimentary serving of yucca fries that were incredibly fresh and perfectly crisp- and we’ve eaten yucca fries many a time at one of NYC’s beloved Peruvian chains, which doesn’t hold a candle to the quality of ingredients here.
While the atmosphere is casual and relaxed, the quality of the food is artisanal, the most special meal we’ve had in a long time. What a treasure for Springfield avenue! Go eat...

The meat was perfectly seasoned, offering a harmonious blend of spices that tantalized my taste buds with every bite. The steak was grilled to absolute perfection, boasting a succulent, tender texture that melted in my mouth.
The sides complemented the main dish beautifully, enhancing the flavors without overpowering them. Every component of the meal was prepared with meticulous care, clearly highlighting the chef's dedication to quality and flavor.
The ambiance of the restaurant and the staff's attentive service only added to the overall exceptional dining experience. It was a meal to remember, and I can't recommend it highly enough. If you're a fan of flavorful, well-cooked meat, this Carne Asada is a must-try. A...
