I am disappointed in the overall service I received at Top Hat and Tails so much so that this is the absolute first review I have ever written about a business. I took my son to this establishment to rent a tux for his senior prom. He did decide late in the game that he wanted to go but we still managed to place order 3 weeks prior to the event. I asked if there was enough time and was told yes. I have never rented a tux and did not know what to expect and was expecting the professional staff of a specialty business to be courteous, knowledgeable, and most importantly "helpful" and to get advice and expertise. Instead, I was made to feel as if my questions were annoying, the idea of my son trying on several options to find "the right look" for him -since he's going solo, there was no predetermined color scheme- was annoying them. Mind you we weren't trying to go through the entire color wheel either. We opted for two colors initially. As soon as I voiced my displeasure about the way I felt I was being treated- testosterone kicked in within the sales team and they became "macho-offended" so they started minimizing my feelings and tried to convince themselves that I was being unreasonable. I know who I am, I know what level of service I expect when spending my hard earned money; and especially $150 for a Tux that is only going to be worn for maybe 6 hours. I realize that salesman are manipulators; I get that, but not everyone can be manipulated. And in any event, you should always treat "ALL" of your customers with respect even if "you" feel their requests are unorthodox. Patronizing them is just as bad as being rude. In the end, I had to make calls to them to find out the status of the fitting before prom which was held on a Monday and finally on Friday when I called them again- "they had just received his vest/bow tie"- do you think they allowed enough time to have tux altered if it needed to be? I don't like cutting it close. IJS
It is my opinion that the staff of this business needs to take some courses on the art of selling graciously. I will never return, nor recommend them to anyone because of this experience I had. This is my opinion/review based on...

Words cannot begin to describe how grateful we are to have encountered someone that doesn't just sell but live it. Your attitude and personality put us at ease and you did exactly what was promised and you did not disappoint us. Thank you for always making yourself available to us and always answering our questions as well as offering suggestions. Read moreFirst time here and it wont be my last. Ryan was very helpful, kind and attentive. Zoey gave great recommendations and was very knowledgeable. The service overall was warm. Both associates answered all my questions with ease and worked together greatly. Even as other guest came and went; they were given the same care. I believe the owner came in i forgot to grab his name but he was very welcoming. The clothing offered was nice and different styles. The displays and layout was well organized. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for casual, business, or formal attire. Thank you 😇...
