LaShonda Chaney challenged us on facebook to take a 6 week boot camp free. I went to the meeting and heard what she was saying from the very beginning it was a challenge. You had to put $499.00 up in order to do the challenge. La Shonda said people would take the challenge but would not try to meet there goals. You know how we do, we start, then we stop nothing invested so I didnt lose anything but you wasted space and the trainers time. People was saying oh that's not free but it is free. First you must meet the requirements and sign for the challenge. I thought about it and said if I was going to join when I thought their was no accountability on my part. Isn't it the same with me investing the 499 dollars because I am taking the challenge now I am motived. You have to put your money where your mouth is. In the challenge I needef to lose 25 lbs in 6 weeks so I took on the challenge. Free is free. It has been such a blessing to be in a spirit filled studio where love abides. I met so many beautiful sisters encouraging one another that you can do this, you can make your goal. I am part of a special group of women that chat with one another and share our feelings. Let me go back to the challenge you get a meal plan, personal training each trainer is phenomenal but I must say my favorite trainer is La Shonda. She is so personable and she doesn't just instruct you in the classes but she does the exercises with us. She takes the time out after class to go over our concerns and give us valuable feedback and it works. She knows when you were cheating, when you are not drinking enough water. She is a personal trainer. People really don't know how expensive a personal trainer cost. However, in this challenge we get a personal trainer at our disposal. It is a wide variety and diversity in classes, with availability to classes early in the morning and late evening. I experience the pound fit class using the drum sticks, hip hop zumba , core, step classes and my favorite circuit training hitting all of your muscle groups. I give this challenge 5 stars and recommend this program for any sister who want to and need to lose weight, get strong and fit and to learn how to eat properly. I forgot to tell you It's not just for the big girls but all women and all sizes. I met small women who had not weight to lose but wanted to take the fat off of their frame that's the BMI and those sisters met there goals. This program is all thumbs up. Many of the sisters including me that I met are in gyms and different programs but this program is working for me I want to give LaChaney Fit Program a big shout out go La Shonda and your professional staff at LaChaney Academy. I MADE MY GOAL 25.6 OUNCES IN 6 WEEKS made it through two major holidays eating and celebrating but had the proper tools to work with. La Shonda I am praying for many open doors for you and your business. Yes, I plan on continuing in the...
Read moreI am giving three stars because it was the first experience I had to bring my children to an dance experience, we were with the organization for three years. The price of LaChney’s is high, when students are come in once a week for 45 minutes, not to mention if you have multiple children. They charge if you are late picking up you child, luckily we were never charged.
I can be wrong here due to the age range (I’ve seen three years of this with my oldest, 6 years old) but being on zoom during the pandemic and when asked my children when they home what they learn it doesn’t seem much. There are nursery songs played to get them moving and maybe one or two ballet moves each time they meet. Students seem to not learn ballet moves/dances until weeks leading up to recital time. If there was maybe a curriculum of what they do each week, I would’ve kept my children there I just didn’t see any growth or what they were learning for the price.
Lastly, I think what put the icing on the cake for us. The sister, I forgot her name, of the owner is respectful while in the dancing building but can be rude at times. Saw her in a shopping center once and my child tried say hi and she didn’t respond. I want assume the best here given my child speaks low but she doesn’t seem approachable moments we crossed paths at the dance building or at shows.
Currently, my children no longer attends LaChaneys for the reasons above but I do love they are blacked owned and have younger dancers teaching children. Being blacked owned was one of the reasons I wanted my children to experience LaChaneys, the owner is great, very professional, kind, genuinely cares about her dancers and...
Read moreFirst I would like to extend a good morning greeting to all affected by this unfortunate situation. I'm very sad today, and highly disappointed that there is a little girl who is Happy, Smart and very inquisitive among other attributes. Azra is a blessing. Older people like myself would utter to say "She has been here before". A great young person who has a block in her path, because of adults who have personality differences. We got to do better. What did Azra do to be pushed aside because of those differences? Children are to be protected and made to feel greatness. Azra has been looking forward towards the upcoming recital. The last recital that she prepared for, she wasn't able to participate because unfortunately she was was fighting for her life. How in good conscience are we going to act like she is not important. It's about the children let's not forget that. What about the children that are in her orbit, it affects them too. Do the right thing. We cannot claim to love and treasure children when it's convenient but not when grown folks don't know how to be civil to one another. Don't let personalities stop you from making the right decision. Let the recital be the best ever with Azra in attendance, she is so looking forward to it. Let's build our young people up, our lives will be better for it. We all have the opportunity to make things right and guess what, we will be better human beings...
