Marathon Cinema — Attraction in Marathon

Prices are good. $8.50 a ticket and the drinks and popcorn prices are cheaper than Regal Cinema. We got 2 large sodas and large popcorn with butter for 12.50. not bad at all for total. I enjoyed the movie, seating, and sound, but some of the patrons ruined it. There was an incident between patrons at the start, police came, and the same patrons carried the incident over into the parking lot at end. Alcohol was a big factor. It didn't help that these patrons kept getting up for more during show. There is enough alcohol served on the island that people should be able to go to a movie with or without kids and not have foolish drunks, but that is just me. They serve nachos, hot dogs, wings, pretzels, popcorn, theatre candy, sodas, beer on tap and wine. There are some theater type seats as well as rolling office type chairs. There are also small round tables. Very comfortable theater. Just so you know, if there is less than 8 people for the 9pm showing, they won't show it. Which I can...

Tried going to a 9:30 showing and got there at 9:15 to the employees saying they were given the okay to change the time (and not post it anywhere) and if 8 people didn't show up at 9:15 they weren't going to run it, meanwhile people are coming and going because they kept saying they weren't going to play the movie. We couldn't even pay for the extra 1 ticket needed to watch the movie because "that's not how it works". Just a classic case of lazy people wanting to go home early. The employees were being very rude to some of the other guests too. Some advice? Don't change the time and expect everyone to show up extra early before you close down. This local isn't wasting my time with this...

Overall Excellent theater however I DO NOT recommend it for any 3D movie. My experience was terrible, it was almost the same with the glasses off as it was while wearing them. Terrible depth perspective and not a clear edge on a single character in the frame. Currently Fandango is not a reliable source of info for the movie or the times; call the theater for reliable info. Otherwise the theater itself is wonderful, very unique and not only costs less than the big business theaters it gives a more local feel.
