I took the 10AM WaveRunner tour through the 10,000 Islands area. It was my first time ever on a WaveRunner and the water was pretty rough that morning. I thought I would take right off and do awesome, but, I actually had a real hard time at first. I admit, I panicked as I went into the waves and my arms stiffened up to the point I could not control the machine at speed since I could not keep it going straight. Our awesome tour guide, Marco, circled back to see if I was doing OK. He told me again to just keep a steady throttle and steer...he was very calm and supportive. After we got to the calm water inland, everything felt much better and my body and arms finally relaxed. We ended up seeing dozens of dolphins, probably a dozen manatees and countless shore birds. Made several stops along the way where Marco would tell about the area, and find more wildlife. The dome home visit was a really big thing for me, been fascinated by them for a while. We saw so much that we ended up running a bit late...so now it was time to go full throttle through the island channels, I was a bit nervous since the open water experience was, well, irrationally terrifying (that has not happened to me on any motorsports machine before). Once we got going, and started the weaving following the leader...I finally got the hang of the darn thing, and now it was a blast! Once we got between the south beach and 10,000 island area we suddenly stopped again, this time surrounded by dolphins all over! We stayed there a bit longer as no one could possibly leave that. Then it was time to head back out into the open rough water to get back to the beach. The way back was so much fun, I knew the feel of the water and the machine a lot better now so it was full throttle the whole way jumping every possible wave and keeping up since I was now relaxed and able to control it.
I did have a rough start, but the guide was great, and after everything was over I have no regrets and will do it again if I...
Read moreThe parasail experience was nice. Ran like clockwork. I don’t know if we were given the full 15 minutes. The captain seemed to be in a hurry. My daughter cut her hand on the ladder when she got on. What we found to be extremely disappointing was the fact that they didn’t take any pictures of us. I had called to reserve a spot and nothing was ever mentioned about adding a picture package. When I checked in 30 minutes early, nothing was mentioned. So when we finished and I asked to have the photo disk, they looked panicked, conferred together, and then told me that I was supposed to ask them to take photos. This was both my daughters first parasail experience and I would have loved to have had it documented. In fact, I would have paid a large fee to have nice pictures of them had I known. Once again, what should have been a very memorable and documented experience, left a very negative impression. I won’t recommend this company to my...
Read moreSo happy w/ our parasailing experience! When I called to get some info, they were friendly & helpful. Our teenage son w/ ASD wanted to go on a ride w/ his sister & her friend. I wanted to go as an observer, but saw on the website that observers could be bumped off if they had people who wanted to parasail. I was aware that this is a common procedure. They ensured me that I would have a place on the boat. When we got on the boat, I told the 2 guys about my son. They were already aware & made it a point to call him by name when talking to him about preparation & during take off. Super patient & kind young men. They did a wonderful job assisting him as he does have some fine motor skill issues as well as comprehension on directions. All 3 teens had a great time! He said it was very peaceful & he would do it again! Thank you for a wonderful & smooth experience. This made my Momma...
