My partner and I had been waiting to visit this place for a little while and were able to do so on our last trip to Marco Island (and by making the reservation 3 weeks ahead of time!) Was it worth the wait? I think so - the food was pretty good. We both started with salads and an octopus appetizer. Not much to say about the salad (I mean it's a salad right?), but the octopus was simply prepared and let the delicious flavor shine through. Next my partner had the almond flounder and I had the local lobster. My partner likes his dishes more simply prepared so he requested his fish not be crusted with almonds. He enjoyed the dish that was prepared. My lobster was quite good, however I wasn't crazy about the cauliflower risotto. It was well made, just not for me. We followed up with bread pudding for dessert which was also good. Service was also very good. I realize that there is a labour shortage and that restaurants are running short staffed...but you don't really notice it here.

Me and my wife on July 31st of 2020 were in Marco island for our honeymoon and we wanted upscale dinner. We didn’t really have a lot of options, so we decided to go to #Fin Bistro based on the reviews. However we ordered two appetizers( lobster rolls and fried calamari) and for the main dishes we got ( salmon and scollops). The salmon was rare cooked and plain and weird taste same as the appetizers( you can see the color of the salmon in the attached picture) long short story, an hour later I throw up everything I ate and I wasn’t feeling good at all. And I thought It was just a stomach cold because at that time my wife didn’t feel The same. We went to sleep and around 1am my wife woke up throwing up everything she ate as well. Definitely the food was bad. Not recommending this place at all!! It ruined our honeymoon! Bad salmon picture below:

Had a reservation for 7:45 however my wife and I ended up getting their earlier than anticipated and had no issues. The service was outstanding Mike always checked on us through out the whole evening. Now the food was somehow even better. Started things off with Fins Lump Crab Cake which had bits of apple that added some sweet and acidic profile to enhance the lemon squeeze. The calamari which is GLUTEN FREE* was perfectly crispy and paired with the pepperoccini. My wife's main dish was the Seafood Risotto which she loved the creamy and savory texture and rich taste. As for me I had the pleasure of trying a seasonal special Triggerfish with a mango chili sauce and coconut lobster risotto. Every flavor on my plate was served justice. Thank you Fin Bistro Outstanding Job.

After hearing about Fin Bistro we decided to celebrate my girlfriends birthday on Friday , November 1st , 2024, with a special dinner in a beautiful atmosphere that promised to deliver. When we arrived the hostess enthusiastically greeted us and said she saw we were celebrating Sarah's birthday. We were promptly seated at a cozy booth and that's where it went down hill. Char , the waitress told us of their sea bass with crab special of the evening , so we both decided to ordered it .We asked for water with lemon , the waters came out , no lemon 10 minutes later , no lemon When the bread didn't arrive , we had to request that as well. Char returned a little while later and said they had run out of the Sea Bass special and had only one left which was fine , so I ordered the Seafood and lobster Risotto . While the Risotto tasted great , the sea bass was not good , it tasted off , not wanting to complain , we shared it. Char asked if we would be ordering dessert and I said no , thinking that dessert was coming out as a surprise for my girlfriends Birthday ,as stated in their reviews, never arrived.( very disappointed) About an hour later I became very ill From the sea bass and about another 1/2 hour later my girlfriend also became ill. I called the restaurant about 10:00 that night and left a message . We were both ill throughout the night . I called again the next day , convinced it was the from the food we had at the restaurant. Peter, the owner , called me later that afternoon , very condescending , suggesting it couldn't have been from his restaurant but from another that day and how it would take 2-3 hrs before we would have symptoms ( we hadn't eaten anywhere that day and we're fine before entering ) He said he was sorry about " the dessert" In a very condescending voice and offered no resolution . Beware of " specials" and always ask the price , sea bass was $70.00 Will not be returning...

I’m not sure I’ve ever been to dine in a restaurant where the host, wait staff and patrons alike frowned so severely on children. Our family has a time share across the street from Fin bistro at the Marriott. Naturally, one night during the vacation we would venture across the street to see what dining options were close by. As we tried to enjoy our ladies only dinner, we came in tow with a 7 month old, 8, 4 and 2 year old. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable and unwelcome. From the hostess immediately telling us they were full for the evening, to the waiter over explaining how things like ranch dressing won’t be found at this restaurant as the owners are attempting to “be different.” What was probably worse than the staff themselves were the patrons found dining. From the old lady adjacent to us scowling at our nursing mom, to the looks we got when we let the children play with toys they just purchased at the gift store. Maybe the icing on the cake was the mom who subtly mentioned being able to hear the movie we played for the 2 year old as we were 1 hour into dinner and attempting to eat our own meals (kids bellies full from early ordering off the child’s menu). When did it become socially acceptable for mothers to judge other mothers so harshly? I’m certain other mothers have nursed a child at the dinner table. I’m certain other mothers have had to take there kids outside for a walk to give them a dinner break. I’m certain other mothers have given a child a movie in order to have 10 minutes to place there expensive meal into their own mouths. And yet... we were made to feel like we were the minority and oddity tonight in this restaurant. Good job Fin Bistro. You have succeeded. You are different than the other restaurants...

A Culinary Oasis: Fin Bistro Shines Bright

Nestled away from the waterfront bustle on Marco Island lies a true hidden gem: Fin Bistro. While it may lack the sweeping ocean views that some other establishments boast, don't let its tucked-away location fool you. What Fin Bistro lacks in panorama, it more than makes up for with an exceptional culinary experience that truly delights.

From the moment we stepped inside, the inviting atmosphere embraced us. The decor is tasteful and understated, allowing the focus to remain squarely where it belongs – on the food. And oh, the food! Each dish that arrived at our table was a testament to the chef's skill and passion. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the thoughtful preparation elevated familiar seafood dishes to new heights. The flavors were vibrant, well-balanced, and left us wanting more.

Beyond the remarkable cuisine, the service was equally outstanding. Our waitress was an absolute delight – warm, friendly, and genuinely engaging. She offered helpful recommendations and struck that perfect balance between attentiveness and allowing us to enjoy our meal. Her genuine enthusiasm added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience. If you're looking for a truly memorable meal on Marco Island, one where the focus is squarely on expertly crafted dishes and genuine hospitality, then look no further than Fin Bistro. Don't be swayed by the lack of a water view; the exceptional food and welcoming service make this a must-visit destination. Trust me, this is the place to go for a top-notch dining experience that will leave your taste...
