Update July 2025: I'm happy to share that my mother defied the odds and is still alive, and that the pharmacist at this CVS continues to do a great job! Please know that I originally posted the below review last fall. The cashiers and pharmacist are terrific, but the pharmacy assistant I dealt with today was not. I need to first explain that my mother is in the end stages of heart failure, just got out of the hospital, and we just found out today that she has an extremely short time to live. After my mom was discharged from the hospital to come home and start palliative/hospice care, we stopped at the CVS Pharmacy to pick up her medicines. Everything went well until the pharmacy assistant told me that one of my mom's prescriptions costs almost $250.00. I politely explained that we couldn't afford it, but that we would ask another family member, who has been there for us and is helping us, to pick it up later. She then became angry, ripping open the bag of the expensive medicine we couldn't afford, and started slamming the rest of the prescriptions on the counter. I explained to her that we weren't trying to be difficult, but that my mom had just been given a week or two to live, and that we were going through a difficult time. She didn't say anything. I began to cry in the pharmacy's area with the chairs where my mom was waiting, as I'm facing losing my mom in a very short time, and this girl's lack of decency and kindness, not to mention embarrassing me simply because I couldn't afford one of the prescriptions, really upset me. We spoke to the pharmacist, and he was terrific. He apologized and personally tried to help us apply a coupon for the medicine, although it turned out my mom isn't eligible. The point of my complaint is that this girl needs to learn not to judge people, because you never know what they may be going through. I hope she can learn from this and treat her customers with kindness and decency. But again, kudos to the pharmacist, and to the sales associate at the register, Nicole. She is fantastic! I have previously used this pharmacy and never had an issue until now. I hope I will be treated better...
Read moreWhile visiting my parents in Margate I visited this store on the night of September 10th, I went into the CVS store, entering from the parking lot doors. It was 10 minutes til 10:00 PM, and I only needed to grab two things - soap and bandaids. Before I even got to an aisle, there were two cashiers and a third young male employee behind the counter, ringing up customers. The young male employee saw us and said "We are closing. As soon as these few people are rung up, I am taking the drawers and they won't even be ABLE to ring you up!!. I have never been spoken to like this from any employee ever in my years of doing business with CVS. I thought then of posting a complaint, but let it go. Until this PAST Saturday, when my father was hit by a car and spent the day at O.M. Hospital. Upon leaving, he was giving a prescription for an antibiotic. My sister drove him home, and they stopped at this same CVS to fill the prescription, or drop it off to be picked up the next day. BUT, you guessed it - once again an employee said that you were closing in 10 minutes and that they had to leave.
Perhaps you should instruct the employees to lock the doors if they don't want any last minute customers. But you know I won't...
Read moreNever had an issue before, sales associates are usually very nice and helpful but this time the girl was a cranky, rude and ignorant person. She was very short with the help she gave me, she seemed VERY ANNOYED she had to come over to the self check out and assist me. This isn’t my first rodeo with a self checkout but had an issue with my coupons. Will go to store again but hope I don’t have to see or interact with...
