Northland Pub — Restaurant in Marquette

I went here based on the vegan items listen on their online menu (specifically the jackfruit tacos), none of which they had on the menu in person besides the cauliflower wings. The server told me the menu online is an old menu. I wish I would’ve known, so I could’ve gone somewhere else. I asked if they had any vegan substitutes for cheese, mayo, etc and was told no. I ordered a drink and the cauliflower wings. The drink was absolutely terrible. It came salted but didn’t say on the menu that it was salted. I took one drink and couldn’t finish it. I asked the server if I could send it back, she said no. She didn’t say “let me see what I can do for you, I’ll ask my manager, etc”. She said I can get you a new drink but I’ve still got to charge you for that one. I thought that was pretty shitty - she could’ve at least tried considering the drink was terrible. Ive never had a server not offer to fix something, somehow. And the cauliflower wings were the worst cauliflower wings I’ve ever had. They did have vegan ranch - thankfully - but otherwise was literally just heavily battered cauliflower. And they were $16 - the price of almost an entire meal. I didn’t finish them. Edit: The bartender was upset she only made 50 dollars that night and wanted to close early unless the people there made an "easy" drink. It's ironic because she was turning down money. I'm surprised she made 50 with a bad attitude like hers.

I came in to meet a couple of friends on a Saturday evening around 11:15 P.M. when the restaurant had their open sign on. I checked to see when they closed and it was midnight. The blonde, curly haired bartender blocked the entrance to the restaurant with the host stand. When I bypassed it, she told me they were closed down while making a drink. It was embarassing but I thought it was my fault. I waved my friends goodbye.

Turns out, they were open until Midnight. Evidently, She told my friends they can order food but she isn't making anymore drinks around 11 P.M. when they arrived. This bartender truly did not want to work anymore and was aiming to leave as soon as possible.

If that bartender is indicative of anything that establishment has to offer, then I suggest going elsewhere. She doesn't care. I surmise the food is just as apathetic as she was upon...

Very disappointed in the quality of the food and the lack of care that went into the food preparation and service. I had a Mediterranean chopped salad which consisted of huge chunks of tomato and cucumber, a few leaves of romaine, over 1/2 cup of olives, fried chick peas that could break a tooth, goat cheese, all drowned in a overpowering dressing. First of all this was not a chopped salad where everything is chopped small and mixed together but even as a regular salad it was inedible. The nachos had some kind of white sauce instead of cheese. Very poorly executed. The service person disappeared after the dinner was served and we had to hunt someone down to check out. This used to be a favorite place to stop when visiting Marquette.
