Marquette Escape Games — Attraction in Marquette

My boyfriend and I are from southern Michigan and travel to do escape rooms quite frequently. I personally co-own an escape room in Shelby Township so typically I have pretty high standards for escape rooms and this location certainly surpassed expectation.

We did all 3 rooms they currently offer (Yooper Camp, Submerged, and Catch a Killer).

Yooper Camp is advertised as being for children, but I still felt like the puzzles were good quality for adults to also accomplish. We escaped with about 23 minutes remaining and used one clue. The aesthetic really did make you feel like you were in a cabin which was really nice.

Submerged is advertised as their hardest room, however I would argue that Catch a Killer is very similar in difficulty. This room had more outside the box thinking to it with the amount of magnetic locks and puzzles in the room. This elevated it into an advanced room for sure. We escaped with a little over 19 minutes remaining using one clue.

Catch a Killer was our personal favorite room. It had the most puzzles that really made us have to think. We had to use both of our brains much harder than in the other 2 rooms. Escaping with a little over 13 minutes remaining using 1 clue. This room had the best aesthetic and decor.

All in all they did a really nice job making the rooms feel immersive while not putting too many things that make no sense or have no effect on the room. Our game master was Skylar and you can tell she loves her job and loves working with people. She was bubbly from the moment we walked in and made sure we understood all of the rules. I went with my Sister and her Husband, our Mom, and my Niece and Nephew on 12/27/21.

The gentleman who was working the Escape Rooms was extremely polite, knowledgeable and helped to make it more exciting.

We chose the Submerged Escape Room. The room itself is designed extraordinarily well; from the small attention to details, and the puzzles themselves. This was no walk in the park; but it wasn't so difficult that it wasn't enjoyable. We were very close to finishing in the allotted time; but even though we did not Escape this time it wasn't a letdown.

I was totally expecting to hate this. I figured I would be playing with my cell phone waiting for the hour to be up. I was absolutely completely wrong. This was sooooo much fun. I have never experienced anything like this before and can’t wait to go back again. My son and I went for his birthday and it was the best part of the day. I would recommend this for anyone experienced or not looking for something different to do. I think it was the owner who helped us today and she was fabulous.
