UPDATE: I appreciate their quick response. I'm an avid lover of queso con chorizo - not sure; there's just something off about the queso. Regarding door dash - totally fair how the prices are higher (I had a gift card I needed to use lol) and you can customize. I'll have to do that in the future. Hyped up and excited to try it based on the rave reviews, but not sure I see the allure...yet. I may have to try the tacos and other menu items, but the bowl and Chorizo Queso are not it. A unique take on Chipotle w/ a smoked BBQ flaire - I love the concept, just didn't like the menu items I ordered. The queso tasted off, like fake cheese and somehow oversalted, while the brisket bowl was flavorless and 70% rice. The bowl felt like a complete ripoff for $15. I had about 15% meat and the rest was just rice, beans, and a little cheese. Very disappointed. Maybe the tacos are better.

I want to give my sincerest thank you to Laura Volski Ramirez at Mexi-Q in Mason OH. I made a post in Chowdown Cincinnati asking if there would be any businesses open on Thanksgiving knowing that we would be here for Everly’s chemo treatments. Laura is the owner at Mexi-Q and offered to open her restaurant just for us to serve a Thanksgiving meal at no charge. When I tell you that she had the most delicious spread of food I am not exaggerating. She went above and beyond for us in every aspect even letting Everly sign her name on the wall. Laura, you are a godsend! You have made such a huge impact on me and family. We will never be able to thank you enough for welcoming us into your beautiful restaurant and treating us like family. You made our Thanksgiving one that we will never forget.

Hidden gem in Mason!!! Fresh ingredients, flavorful smoked meat, a variety of sides, and very generous portions. Best customer service! We had a lot of questions the first time there, Laura the owner was so warm, welcoming and patient. We ordered a Mac and Cheese Brisket, and an Original Bowl with chicken, LOVED everything we ordered!! Already went back another time and will be back again soon.

We had Mexi-Q visit our work as a treat to staff. Everyone was happy! The menu had a good variety of burrito and bowls, including salad and vegan options, so there was something for everyone. I had the pork on my original bowl - it was slow-cooked and mouth-watering! The crowd was also pleased with the variety of hot sauces available for some extra flavor. This was our second time having the Mexi-Q truck and we will use them again! Laura was so easy to work with and the service was fast and friendly. Thanks for giving us all a delicious...
