I placed a lunch order for my staff and my self. My order came out to almost $200. I felt I was very rushed and treated rudely by the older woman taking my order. When I picked up my food I asked for cutlery to eat with and the woman complain to me about me asking for it. She begrudgingly gave me a few but not enough to cover everyone's order. I took the food back to our office only to discover that the food I received was only partially what I ordered I don't know whose order I received besides mine. When I called back she told me I ordered the food wrong even though she confirmed everything with me that I ordered. When I told her I wanted the food that I ordered she told me that I had to order more food because I'm the one who gave myself the wrong food apparently. I recommend staying away from this establishment. We were actually sampling the food for an upcoming office event and Thai food was suggested and this is why we were trying food. I didn't know that I had to argue with a cashier about getting a plastic fork for our takeout. She actually tried to force me to tip on a takeout order. When I refused she became very disgruntled with me. I wouldn't waste your time, your money, for your energy here. The one dish that I did try we didn't know what it was because it was not something that we ordered. It was a noodle dish that was red tasted like burnt ketchup and was a huge noodle brick. It must have been prepared hours of ahead of time. Never again. I suggest treat your guests better before you lose all your business and get rid of the elderly woman taking orders. I did order mango rice and the fruit was old and...
Read moreThe quantity was good, but the quality of the food and service was the lowest of lows. I ordered pickup and the Cashier was not pleasant on the phone or in person when I picked up the order. The restaurant smelled terrible - think fish left out in the sun and then stored in a confined space i.e. this restaurant. The Pad Thai was plentiful but tasted terrible. I’m convinced the shrimp was part of the poor smell. They use rice noodles that break easily and don’t hold flavor well which really robs noodle lovers of a great joy in the adventure of noodle dishes. I threw away this $16 order after tasting the poor quality - wouldn’t give it to the homeless! Thai restaurants are known for their beautiful balance of sweet, spicy, sour, savory, and umami; this place missed it all except for the spicy element. The only reason they nailed that is because I request the top spice level. Take your Thai craving and head to Ballantyne, South Blvd or any other Thai restaurant will do more justice to your appetite and hard...
Read moreI love Thai Taste, love love love love love it! I have been going there for years. I went and lived in Thailand for seven months, and came back expecting US Thai food to be disappointing (because the food in Thailand is consistently AMAZING). Thai Taste continues to serve some of the best Thai food I have eaten. Their lunch special is great, as they have a rotating menu on weekdays. My favorite dishes are anything with curry (gaeng gurrie, gaeng kua, gaeng saparot), and the jasmine rice is GREAT. Of course, there are always the farang favorite of pad thai available every day.
The service is wonderful. They are always very friendly and attentive. I've seen a few random bad ratings/ reviews on service, which really surprises me, because I have never experienced that in my 5+ years of going. I always walk out smiling because of how kind, friendly, and wonderful this place is. Thai taste, chan...
