We decided to give them a try tonight since they had just opened unfortunately we were disappointed in the food. Very disappointed. We ordered quite a bit of food and spent $60. My son wanted to add steak to his taco but they told him they couldn’t alter the tacos. We decided on something very simple for the rest of us: chicken quesadilla, cheese quesadillas and steak quesadilla. The steak quesadilla was ehhhhh. Barely any steak. The chicken quesadilla was from what we can tell, chicken tenders with shredded cheese. We all picked over our food. We mentioned this to management and said they would refund us for two of the chicken quesadillas but pending whomever to submit the refund since they couldn’t do it at the register. We will have to follow up if we don’t see a refund. In my opinion this wasn’t worth the money. The staff was very busy and polite (which is great!) with the exception of one person wondering why we were sitting with no number on our table (we had to use two tables since we are a family of 8). Instead of asking us I heard them ask another employee why are we sitting there. Also, in the women’s bathroom there are two stalls with only a door on one. Someone was occupying the other so I had to use my body to block the doorway so my daughter could use the bathroom. For this to be a new establishment, I expect bumps in the road but not a whole door missing. - Lastly, they ask you to clean your own tables…. But there was nothing to clean them with at the station. I get that we are in unprecedented times; however, this should be their responsibility, not the patrons. (In my opinion). Hopefully they will improve in time but it’ll be awhile before and if we visit again. *update 10.14* we never received a refund and despite repeated calls received a call back.

WOW! New favorite place! Randomly drive by last Saturday and decided to stop in for lunch. First off, parking lot is a bit TIGHT so be gentle. :) More parking around to the right side and back as well. Big bright and easy to read menu! And plenty of choices! Nice that they have draft beer selections and even some "spirited" drink options. Best part about ordering? You can get your tacos on corn or flour tortillas! YAY!! We really don't like the corn tortillas so it was great to be able to ask and choose! We ordered the following: Crispy Pork Belly - well, first off the belly really wasn't crispy, which ended up making it tough, had to request a knife to cut it up. Flavor was good though, just missed out on the crispy part. That pickled watermelon rind? wha-WHAAAATT??! That was a spectacular addition to the taco! This one gets 3 Stars for the not-crispy belly, though - will likely try it again... Mole Roasted Duck - great flavor combo! 5 Stars Crispy Chicken BLT - Basically a big crunchy chicken strip with the fixin's, but it works! Was very good. 5 Stars BBQ Carnitas - really liked this one - pulled pork was moist and tender with a mildly sweet flavor. 5 Stars Street Corn Salad - a little spicy twang to it but good - might have been better with a dollop of sour cream. 4 Stars Sizes? Well they're not 2-bite-tacos like so many places that tout the "street tacos" offer. For 4 bux each, you're really getting your money's worth! Overall we were very pleased with our lunch and will definitely be back! 5 Stars overall!!

Having visited the original White Duck Taco Shop in Asheville my wife and I fell in love with the place. We were over the moon when this location opened just minutes away. An eclectic decorated shop with fun designs painted on the walls with fun colors and chalkboard menu boards hanging behind the register. When walking it I feel it boost the mood automatically. Placing orders is quick and painless however, deciding which tacos to get can take some time. Whatever the mood the tacos will not disappoint. I recommend getting two or three different tacos even though the mix of flavors might not seem to compliment each other. I always get the pork belly taco to start and am constantly trying the others with every visit. The tacos stay pretty consistent but there are changes with different offerings from time to time. We are also a fan of the chips and salsa trio. The food comes out pretty fast so you won't have much time to eat the chips before getting your meal. Tacos go great with beer and luckily White Duck has a decent selection. There are about four, maybe five, beers on tap and a couple of seltzer's and other drinks to choose from. They also serve margarita's and a few other mixed drinks too. Service is nice but it's kind of set up where there isn't much the staff would need to do for you. Drinks are available to refill on your own, there's a condiment station and a place to place empty trays.

Between three different people, each of them were full after eating just two tacos, so that's what I would recommend you order. They're very packed tacos! The types of tacos they make are diverse, so you wouldn't be burdened with picking that one trademark taco every time you eat here. For example, I got a BBQ Carnitas taco, a Fish taco, and a Chicken Tikka Masala taco. I was only able to get through two, and I could hardly finish the second one.

Feedback about the tacos: The Chicken Tikka Masala taco had overcooked chicken. It was very dry, and I didn't feel that the sauce was really making up for that. The chickpeas were also very dry, when I bit into it, it felt powder like. The Fish taco had pretty good fish, and the greens in it gave good texture, but I felt overall that it was lacking flavor. I didn't get to try the BBQ Carnitas taco because I was so full! But my mom seemed to really like it. There's coleslaw in it and a really flavorful sauce to it, very zesty. She also had the chicken and cheese quesadilla, which I also tried, and she wasn't very happy with it. It tasted mostly like burnt cheese and wasn't flavorful. The Shrimp Ceviche taco was arguably the BEST taco I tried out of all of them. Delicious flavor and diversity in ingredients. The Bangkok Shrimp taco was also very good, zucchini and fried shrimp. also a delicious flavor combination.

I would recommend any Shrimp tacos you can get :) The prices were also excellent, $4.10 per taco, you'll spend about $10-$15 if you choose to get a drink as well. I'll be coming back again for the...
