Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about - but maybe I do... I'm just a mainlander that is love with poke. If the mercury levels weren't so high I'd eat 3 pounds of it on a daily basis. Having lived in West Maui for 3 years and having come back and visited half a dozen times since then - I'd say I have some credibility when it comes to tasting good poke, and lemme tell ya that Foodland delivers when it comes to fresh yummy poke. The location on Kane St is no exception. Close to the mall makes it a great place to stop by for lunch while you're out and about shopping for what ever your needs are. Fresh and plentiful are the poke bowls. Pow packed with flava and enough to make a grown man full after a bowl (maybe two). I wish there was a Foodland on the mainland. Prices are reasonable and selection always plentiful. This location in specific is a little smaller than most but they got all you...
Read moreExcellent service! Nina went above and beyond her job description this evening! After getting all my groceries I went to my car, but unfortunately my battery was dead. After asking a few people in the parking lot I went inside foodland to see if it was possible if one the workers could help, but no one had jumper cables and Nina at the customer service said they would ask fellow workers. Nina not only followed up by coming out to my car and letting me know no one had cables but she started asking people too, she found a nice uncle that had cables and an aunty that was parked next to me and Nina hooked it up and everything! Started in one turnover! So incredibly nice, and showed so much aloha! Mahalo Nina, foodland and...

Walking into the Kaahumanu store, they have a sign at the deli that says you must buy 2 pounds for $9.99 each. Has with most of these corporate apps, my phone somehow defaults to the Alamoana Foodland. The manager says that price listed for 1 pound, first she tries to tell me it’s for a platter which it clearly did not state platter. Then she points out that it’s for the Alamoana store because somehow every single store has a different ad in the state of Hawaii? There is a reason why I don’t normally shop at Foodland Stores. Other than the higher prices, this is one of the other main reasons....
