Maui Friends of the Library Bookstore — Attraction in Maui

Great locally owned book store. It'll remind you of your local library. Majority of the items in here are used BUT extremely affordable ($0.50 ea / $1.00 ea). The owners are amazingly nice. They give back to the community.

The one thing that really humbles you is that kids up to age 12, gets a free book a day!!! We were watching a mom buy some books for her son, and the owner was calculating, "this is free, this is... $0.50, this is $1.00, this is $1.00... etc..., lets just say total is $5.00 even".

Best item in Maui, small business owners giving knowledge to the future of...

I absolutely love this bookstore!!! I go in once or twice a week! The workers here are amazing, nice, and very helpful. They have all types of books for GREAT prices! I bought almost the entire series of Harry Potter for less than $20 and they are hardcover (ps. thats a $150 worth of books). All books are in great condition. In addition, they have books that are published many, many years ago and books that are published this past year. They also have records, movies, and CD's. I bought movie called "Joy Ride" from here for a dollar and it worked perfecrly!! Lastly, they have a section for children books that are for FREE!!!! Highly recommend...

Called this store to see if a book was in stock and the rude lady was such a witch (not the good kind of witch)! She said “NO NO! You’re gonna have to come in yourself and look on the shelves” click and hangs up. WTH does that lady do working there if she’s not assisting customers?! Definitely not giving them any business while that lady is volunteering there. Seriously, volunteers do not need to be rude. If they’re miserable, maybe they shouldn’t be volunteering and spreading their negative vibes...
