As a casual player who only attends games twice a month on average to have a good time and get some training reps in with my real steel kit, here's my two cents on the field:
Starting with the Pros: Field is HUGE. Multiple 2 story accessible buildings, vehicles, different variations of cover, etc. Lots of fun but can be confusing, very confusing. Pro shop is extremely convenient. Whatever you might need can be purchased as soon as you encounter a problem and they will more than likely have what you need. Lots of players. On a usual Sunday you will find the field to be packed with players and no shortage of action. Refs are very helpful. Can't speak on the owner, dont know him but his referees seem to be very helpful and accommodating from what i have seen. My first time attending, my rifle did not meet the FPS standards without modification and i was left playing with the gas pistol that i purchased that day. A very kind ref (Kai i believe, who deserves a raise) offered his own personal rifle to me for one of the games. Made my day. All guns are chronographed on site with no exception. Helps keep hot shooters out of play and make sure everyone's having a good time. Clean bathrooms. Can't stress enough how important this is lol.
Cons: Field layout is extremely complex, almost un necessarily. It is nearly impossible to hold a single angle without being vulnerable from 2-3 other angles. Furthermore, the spawns are not clearly labeled on the floor and can be extremely confusing. The field obstacles and hard cover are almost all unpainted and left with their stock plywood or pressboard finish. With some of the field being painted, it makes the place look un finished and would be much more aesthetically pleasing with all painted and finished obstacles. Also, more variation of cover would be nice. I grew very tired of seeing unpainted pallet after pallet. Feels dilapidated and un cared for in those areas. The music is very very quiet, may as well not be playing at all. Could use a speaker system of some sort wired through the field. Very short duration of time between matches, barely enough to get loaded back up and purchase something from the shop if need be. Their tech is only available on a Teusday evening... so if something is wrong with your gun, need to lower your FPS to field limits, or even have a simple question then good luck you need to make the treck on a work night unless you live locally which you probably dont. Can't get it taken care of on your weekend trip. Not enough tables to accommodate all players on a sold out day of play. If you show up late, good luck finding somewhere to set your sh1t.
Overall i really enjoy the field and im happy it's not terribly far from where i live so i can come play relatively often, but thought i'd still give my thoughts on some of the negatives of the field which there are a few of course. Thanks for reading,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI go here frequently but I haven't left a review so here goes:
This place has me addicted to airsoft now!
The referees are really friendly and approachable, I have found that they are very fair when enforcing the rules and are always making sure that everyone is playing safely with frequent equipment checks (i.e. goggles, barrel covers, masks, taking out your mag in the safe zone, etc.)
9 times out of 10 the other players are friendly and play fairly.
The shop is good quality, expensive, but good. I have bought a couple of items from the shop, that being a rifle sling (6/10), Feyachi 'Aimpoint' knockoff sight (9/10), and a sight/lens protector (10/10). I'm looking into purchasing a tracer unit from the store here too. My only criticism is that you are not able to return items you have already paid for at the shop, say you didn't like a vest that you just paid $80 for? As far as I know you can't return it (if you're in the store), which leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I would like more information on the return policy, or a link to it if it's on the website (which would be a good thing to add if it isn't).
Overall, Refs are great, Romeo's Pizza discount makes getting food pretty easy, environment is positive and sportsmanlike, and it's a great place to try out airsoft for the first time. It'll have you coming back for more I promise.
If I could leave a 6/5 I would, Great field, great owners, great everything. Wish I could come here every single day.
Shoutout to Khaled and Ben, absolutely astounding employees. They're the upmost reason I left such a good review. Both of them were friendly and always offering to help whenever anyone needed help with pretty much anything. Definitely came in good help when setting up the sight that I had bought from the store. Again, thanks guys!
Sorry this is a lot to read, but I truly recommend coming here for your first airsoft experience, or make this your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTL;DR: Cool map, big store, staff trash talks other field staff, EXPENSIVE, owner called me and my friend a homo. More below.
Went here with a friend and got called a homo by the owner for using HPA. Then while talking about how to chrono my shotgun there were several remarks thrown in about how the staff at another field was dumb which continued on for a bit. Staff HAS to chrono which wasn't such a big deal but some of the staff I did not feel comfortable letting handle my guns. Pretty extensive store for an airsoft field but man was it expensive. Most the guns were understandably priced but I paid $40 for 1 bag of .28g Tracer BB's and at my home field I pay about $55 for 2 of the same if not better quality BB's. $25 for admission isn't bad if you don't frequently play but as someone who plays regularly it starts to add up not to mention having to pay an extra $5 each time you play if you use HPA for all day air fill. Most fields I have gone to charge $20 and include all day tank fills in the admission price. The map was nice and big, plenty of cheeky angles and what not, games were long and hard fought with good engagements and quick reload breaks in between games so you get more games in (didn't swap sides for different attack & defend objective game modes? but not a big deal). However, these things did not sway me enough to keep me coming back. As a regular player and someone who prefers not to be called a homo by the owner of somewhere I am considering frequenting, I will not consider this field as an option...
