This place is a blast! If you enjoy go cart racing this place is on a different level because the carts can reach 60 miles per hour. Even though competitive these aren't exactly traditional races where you're trying to just pass more so trying to get the best lap time because if everyone is equally skilled passing can be a challenge due to all the tight turns but the better drivers can pull ahead. During the warmer weather months they have an outdoor addition which adds a ton of turns and makes the track even more fun but the winter brings a bigger crowd due to the lack of outdoor activities thanks to the weather here in ohio. Each race last 7 minutes (may be longer for outside addition) where you will complete as many laps as possible and the fastest lap time "wins". The driver registration process adds you to their database where they track your races and skill progression which you can track online to compete with friends, family, and other visitors. My only "complaint" is with the price because you can quickly burn through money if you visit frequently which makes me wish they offered a membership program that offers discounts or the ability to buy enough races to bring it down to $10 a race because currently the best packages is 10 races for $150 plus your yearly driver fee if its your first time.
If you're planning on going you should definitely buy the 10 races and save yourself some money. You can upgrade your package as you go but you should just plan to buy the 10 race package because you'll burn through them faster than you'd think and even if you don't use them all you can return at a later date to finish using them up.
Also if this is your first time and you have gloves and a DOT full faced helmet (yes you are allowed to use your own) I'd advise you take them with you because they don't have gloves and personally i find sharing helmets with the public a bit sketchy but that's about all you need to know. Just take my advice and bring gloves because if you don't at the end of the night you'll...
Read moreWe had been looking forward to going here for a while. We go Karting nearly every weekend, for the past year or so. However, my primary issue with this track, and the staff, is that there are drivers that spend the entire heat race thinking they are a professional Racing driver. These types of drivers also deliberately crash into other drivers whilst trying to shoot for unsuitable gaps, and causing major accidents. Our experience was that the staff on the track fail to address these safety issues. At other tracks, the staff/stewards will stop drivers like these and give them constructive feedback so that there are not issues. Therefore, the experience here is more like bumper cars and less like Karting. This is their indoor setup, so, it’s not as extensive as the indoor/outdoor setup, as that is seasonal. So, safety is a concern here and the video that is played for new drivers simply doesn’t resonate with new drivers. There is substantial room for improvement here. Stewards/staff need to be more in-tune with poor/destructive driving on the track and take corrective action and/or Black Flag these types of drivers. The track is narrow, with fast sections, and really only one area to cleanly pass (last turn to main straight to turn one). Lastly, the Karts lack any kind of seat fore/aft adjustment, and the pedals also do not move. Therefore, if you’re 6’ and up, you will be jammed in the seat. My hope is for this to be constructive. Hopeful for improvement, from a safety perspective, as this will directly correlate to how this facility is...
Read moreWent there last night couldn’t do go Karting because it was a tournament going on so me and my company which was one other person couldn’t kart. The woman said we could go to bar get food and stuff. Soon as we sat down it was a male bartender there he seen me and my guest sit down. He was cutting lemons at the time he never stopped to serve us. We was sitting there for 5 minutes. We decided to get up and look around and see what else they had at the facility which they had arcade games so we asked the lady if we can order some food. She said we have 30 minutes to order food and it would be better if we go to the bar and get food because it would be quicker so we sat down again as soon as we sat down the bartender, white male again seen us and took right off walking fast towards the bathroom and never came back. Never was served and did not feel welcomed at all. It was 5 other white males who was already served and was eating and drinking at the bar across from us. So the only people that was left to serve was me and my guest in which we was not. We was not greeted at the door and did not feel welcomed at all. And we was the only black people there. I have been here one other time with no problem but now I will never come back. It was so bad we just got...
