Before retiring I was a Diamond in Hilton, and the equivalent in IHG, Choice Hotels in the same year for several years.
We are out of our home for a week as mold was found. I now learn that the front desk at Hilton at 13505 Panama City Beach Parkway, Panama City Beach, FL couldn't extend my stay, because she said "I didn't book through Hilton". She could have done the appropriate thing and asked how I booked. I did book through Hilton. Then she said "There was a problem with how I booked" and she couldn't help me because "I used points for one night". I asked if I do this is our current room available for the balance of our stay? She said "I won't know until you call me back". I asked for her name and she said "Kristine", yet with her high pitched, accented fast talking she didn't offer to spell. During the phone call, there was a lot of loud talking and laughing. I did call her back and asked for "Kristine", she said "We don't have a Kristine". She started to chuckle. Again I asked for "Kristine". "Well I was told her name was Kristine.". Now she bursts out laughing and said "I'm Kristine".
Next I asked the front desk for room service each day and the young woman.said it's every four days, how long are you here for, I said the 10th through the 18th, she said that's one cleaning". I said since I'm paying an UNDISCOUNTED RATE because the AAA, AARP and Senior Rate we're not available for the extension, I would like room service each day. She said you will need to talk to housekeeping in the morning."

Read moreI returned from my birthday, girls trip, to Cancun and stayed at the Hilton all inclusive resort. My dates of stay were 7/9 - 7/14/24. My first time experience was disappointing at best. I left the resort, heading back home, feeling scammed, let down, and wishing my friend group would have chosen any other place than Hilton All Inclusive Resort. Upon arrival we were greeted very warmly. During the check in process we experienced a long check in process due to the hotel charging us $1900 more than our original price. Even though we had a receipt with a zero balance due. We had no choice but to pay this, as we were already in Mexico, with no where else to go. This started the downward spiral of the trips decline. I had to have my bedding changed as there were blood stains on the sheets. Everyday we had to have our wristband reprogrammed as it would miraculously stop working. On our last day, while checking out, our trip coordinator incurred an addition $3500 charge to her credit card. What started out as an exciting adventure quickly turned to feeling very scammy and taken advantage of. I will NEVER return to this property.
