Sport Clips Haircuts of East Memphis — Local services in Memphis

I went to this Sports Clips location some time ago and left this review on Yelp which they apparently don't monitor so I'm spreading the review wealth since they don't care about feedback. Quick back story: I recently was recovering from some scalp psoriasis. When the stylist started combing my scalp she made audible sounds of revulsion, and rather loudly stated that she could not cut my hair because of the "sores" on my scalp because of health rules. When I questioned this she started to bring somebody else over to look at me scalp to determine if she could cut it. Of course all the other staff and customers could hear this and were observing the spectacle. I decided didn't want to become a side show by having somebody else come over there and stair at my scalp. Even if her decision had been overturned I wasn't about to sit there in the chair and let somebody who tried to deny me service cut my hair. It's unfortunate because I've come to this location at other points in time when I was recovering from psoriasis and never had this issue before. This was handled very poorly; no paying customer deserves to be embarrassed like that. This is the first time a hair cutting business has ever denied me service. The stylist's name was Amanda, make sure not to have her cut your hair if you have any scalp issues, lest you be publicly...

I just got my haircut from here and it was awful. This used to be my go to place to get a haircut, but the past two times I’ve gone they have completely botched it. This last time was the worst by far. All I wanted was a faded cut on my sides and a little bit off the top so it looks shaped up. What I got was a partial fade on my left side and a buzz cut on my right side and my hair was cut so short on the top that it looks like a military cut. Not to mention their system was down and the workers were rambling around looking like deer in headlights. Completely unprofessional I felt as if I were in one of those solans where people are first learning to cut hair. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO A HAIRCUT FOR A CUSTOMER THEN TELL THEM SO RESPECTFUL AND GET SOMEONE ELSE WHO CAN. A haircut should be a fun and refreshing experience and now I’m embarrassed and will be wearing a hat until it grows back. Needless to say I will never be here again and if that is the best that they can do then I suggest that they close up shop now...

9/14/2019 — I have been going to see Mrs. Lynn for about 3 years now at this location and am so thankful for her. She is an absolute expert at her craft, and always makes sure the job is done correctly. She is incredibly considerate and patient in making sure everything is exactly how you like it. Without a doubt, she is the perfect example of what an EXCELLENT Customer Service experience should be. Sport Clips is very lucky to have her - She brings enormous value to this business.

In addition to being great at her profession, she is also an incredibly kind, caring and genuine person. Anyone who gets to know her will clearly be able to see what I am trying to put into words here. She is just absolutely great, and I’m so very thankful and incredibly blessed to know her.

Mrs. Lynn cuts my hair at this location and she is always so patient and kind. Would not go anywhere else and am always happy with my haircut.
