Laurelwood Shopping Center — Attraction in Memphis

On 3/14, the employes at Joseph denied disabled people the right to walk down the sidewalk and repeatedly argued about removing an obstruction that they had placed that would only prevent the passage of a wheelchair user. They claim the right to deny disabled people the use of the sidewalk. According to their employees, the Americans with Disabilities Act and 504 do not apply to this business. They blocked the sidewalk and refused to move the obstruction claiming that they were having an event. They state that these laws do not apply on private property. This is untrue. This shopping center is upscale. Good options for a variety of female, male, food, and home needs. I do specifically have a negative issue with the Panera Bread restaurant chain at this location. From Dec '16 until current June '17 I have had reoccurring issues with items I have ordered. Not being given options for sides at the register, not receiving all items I ordered, recieving items I didn't order, and the worst: not seeing a biting into a piece of plastic that was in a salad I paid for. Very conveniently located nice place for shopping. Stores where you find clothes and shoes for men, women and kids and for babies as well. There are also restaurants, and beauty shops, like for example to do your nails. There are several big parking lots, wheelchair parking, wheelchair access. There is a big bakery-cafeteria, and a chocolaterie one, I love chocolate.
