Malco Cordova Cinema — Attraction in Memphis

I visited this establishment with my infant, mom, and 7yr old on April 3, 2024 around 4:20pm to see the new Godzilla and Kong movie. When my family and I approached the concession counter to order the guy at the register stated that I had to remove my backpack (which was clearly a Mickey Mouse printed pink gray and red diaper bag that could be carried or worn on the back for convenience) and was told I couldn’t bring it in I told the man that I would remove it from my back and hold it like a bag but by no means was I going to take it to the car because all of my infants things that she needed was in there. And on top of that I was holding my infant in my arms so wearing it on my back was the easiest thing for me to do at that moment. The guy at the concession told me his manager came on the walkie and told him to tell me I couldn’t have it in the building, so I politely asked him to point out his manager so that I could speak with him myself. Long story short I approached the manager and told him the same thing I told the guy at concessions. The manager then goes on to say “is that all that’s in the bag is baby stuff?” At this point I’m like huh are you serious. I then proceeded to go watch my movie because it was no longer a professional conversation. I will not ever visit this place again when visiting home. I would have felt better if he just would have asked do I mind him checking my bag when I first came in only because I know how bad Memphis has gotten. Loved this theater for 4 reasons.

1. Self-service drink stations. Don't have to wait in lines to get refills for drinks.
2. Very clean everywhere. Even the bathrooms were really clean and very convenient to get to right outside our theater. On a Saturday.
3. Comfy seats that recline.
4. if you order food that needs to be cooked, they offer to bring it to your seat! This is awesome so I don't have to come back out of the theater during the movie to pick it up.

My only wish is that I don't have to print off my tickets at the front. I purchased tickets online, let me just validate my ticket with that. But it takes 30 seconds to get them so not...

Horrible staff and management. My friends and I went to IT and we were directed to the wrong move theatre. We thought the movie just started without preview but we were in the beginning half of the movies and missed 1 hour of it and didn't find out that we missed that much until the next day. We tried to speak with a staff her response was "well you should have something yesterday" we spoke with a supervisor and his response was "it ain't nothing I can do you should have looked up at the top of the door, it's your fault you went into the wrong one" he was non chalant, rude and disrespectful.
