Looking for something fun to do in Memphis this week? I think you should definitely check out the Mid-South Maze (@The Mid-South Maze), I had such a great time! The environment was family friendly with great characters, photo ops, games, and food. I can’t wait to go again next year! #thingstodoinmemphis #memphis #halloween #cornmaze #fyp

Such a fun activity for the family! I highly recommend including the corn maze in your autumn festivities. The paths were not muddy this year. In fact they were dusty and hard as rock. Being surrounded by the tall corn stalks rustling in the breeze with the city sounds in the background was a surreal experience.

Tons of fun! A great maze with riddles to help you find your way through. There are also snacks, a jump pillow for the kids, a corn cannon, and hayrides. A great way to spend the day out with the kids and I can’t wait to try the haunted maze.

We had a great time at the corn maze, but there were a few things that stood out—both good and bad. The maze itself was well-designed, and we loved navigating it under the light of the moon. However, the overall vibe was a bit confusing. While scary characters roamed the parking lot and ticket line, jumping out and startling guests (which we expected), the background music didn't quite fit the spooky atmosphere—think Maroon 5 or Taylor Swift playing in the distance.

We purchased tickets online, hoping to skip the wait, but ended up standing in the same line as everyone else to enter, which was a bit disappointing. On the plus side, security was visible near the entrance and ticket counter, though we did see a few people bypassing the system by walking over the netting to sneak in.

As for the maze experience, the first half was quite crowded, so the scare actors didn’t get much of a chance to interact with us. However, as the crowd thinned out in the second half, the actors really upped their game—some even followed us quietly, adding a creepy layer to our attempts to find the exit. It took us about 30 minutes to complete the maze, with the trivia questions providing helpful hints along the way.

One tip: wear comfortable shoes with good grip, as the dirt paths were a bit damp and slippery. Overall, it was a fun experience, but a few tweaks could definitely enhance the atmosphere and...

The overall experience of the maze itself wasn't bad. The set up on entering was not well organized. The issue was not the place, but the crowd. The younger hoodlums were taking their chance to grope passerbys in the dark and may have even been trying to pick pocket. Keep your belongings out of your pockets. Smoking weed out in the open right in front of the sheriff. Also they were stampeding and pushing and one intentionally pushed me down. There's no way a 20 something 6 foot 2 guy was that scared to push someone down. Luckily i wasnt stomped or badly injured. Sadly this is memphis in this generation and time. You can't enjoy yourself without these horrible people in the city messing it up. Need more security inside the...

So it was good but I have a few pet peeves. One it was super eerie. Some of the actors were scary and some were just there. Some didn’t care to be scary and some went over the top. Seriously some of them were really scary. This is my first maze but the line when we first got there was exponentially long. I also saw ALOT of unruly children which also negatively impacted my experience. The maze was extremely long. If you can’t see at night don’t go because you will not make it out within 30 mins or less. Also the corn riddles were clever. I wish they had a light or something to help you identify the signs because I think we walked past a lot of them. Overall ok experience. Will I do it again? Probably not but for each...
