UPDATED: I tried again at lunch today because like I said previously I had been really excited about this place opening. Went through the drive thru this time. Ordered and within less than 5 minutes I have my coffee in my hand.
It was grand opening today so I understand there are going to be some kinks to work out, but never in my life have I had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for 2 lattes. I came straight after work to pick up drinks to bring home for my husband and I. The girl at the register clearly had no idea what she was doing (they must have had a recent shift change) and it took her more than 5 minutes just to ring me up. Again, grand opening so this was to be expected to a point. After about 30 minutes of waiting I checked on my coffee to make sure they still had my order and they said they did. 50 minutes after I had ordered, they said my ticket was in the middle. They were clearly prioritizing the drive thru over the customers in the lobby because 1-2 drinks would come out in the lobby for every 4-5+ drinks given out the drive thru. There were 17 people ahead of me waiting for their coffee when I got there. The woman next to me said she had been waiting about 45 minutes for her 1 drink. 1 hour and 5 minutes after ordering my coffee, my order ticket was finally in the barista’s hand to make my drinks. Not once did anyone check on us to ask what drinks we were waiting on. People clearly were leaving because there were 7 or more unclaimed drinks by the time mine was finally made. Read moreSome days it’s good, some days you get stuck in the drive thru for over 25 minutes. Being from Michigan I was excited to have you in the area, but I’ve tried half a dozen times now and for the wait I experience I’d rather make my coffee at home.

I arrived in the drive-thru at 9:11 AM with one person in front of me waiting to place an order. We sat there for about 5 mins. before she could order. I finally arrived at the window about 9:25 AM, paid at 9:27 AM, and proceeded to sit there until 9:35 AM when I received my two iced coffees. What the drive-thru woman was doing for that 8 minutes, I'm not sure. I figured someone else was making my drinks. Then I watched her take a whole 30 seconds for her to pour coffee out of the pitcher and pump two syrups into two cups. There doesn't seem to be any priority on time spent waiting. There was no apology for my wait time. I have visited two other Wednesdays in the last month and both times were a decent experience. So that's why I said some days it's good, some days it's terrible. I don't feel like your employees value good customer service, or maybe that's just the state of the world these days. Read moreToday was my first time ever going to Biggby Coffee. I’d seen it before and figured I’d try it out on my way to the library. When I entered the business, there was an employee sitting on the countertop talking to two other employees. No greeting, just a “what can I get for you?” When I got to the counter, I told her this was my first time trying Biggby and I asked if they had anything similar to a caramel macchiato. She pointed at an item on the menu and then went over to taking a drive thru order. When I got the drink the employee just put it on the counter and said nothing. As I walked towards the door, one employee says have a good day. Out of the three, she seemed to be the only one that tried to acknowledge me as a customer, she was also the one that assisted with my order when the first employee walked away. This was my first time and I wasn’t impressed. I also want to add that I was the only customer in the store. As a new customer, this was a missed opportunity for the employees to do some suggestive selling as I would’ve liked to have gotten a breakfast item as well.
