Powerhouse Gym Menifee — Attraction in Menifee

I visit Power House Gym atleast three times a week. In order to avoid the large morning/noon crowds, I choose late night appearances. I always have a rejuvenating workout as well as a mix of commrodery with many other members. I enjoy all my visits at the gym while at the same time keeping my health in check. NOTE: I would like to see some equipment upgrade to various machines. There seem to be a shortage of some things such as barbell security shanks to prevent weights from sliding, also it would be appreciated if we could have an ajustable setup board.. In addition, some of the equipment appears to be damaged and are in need of repair or maintenance. I recently noticed a few upgrades/additions that I mentioned previously; thanks for that. I continue to attend and enjoy my time spent at the gym. Appreciate. I am now seeing new weight retainer shanks something I had mentioned earlier, thanks for a response. I am also aware that people have a tendency to take items like these and it would be a good idea for certain items to be subject for checkout. Thanks I am continuing to use thr gym three days a week for health and body improvements. Since my last comments, I noticed several changes throughout the gym; I heard several comments to that affect from other members. Another commonly used gym item is the weight scale which has dropped in usage because of the need for calibration. It would be greatly appreciated for attention to that. Thanks H Greetings... Today is Tuesday 1-28-25 and I continue to make use of the gym three(3) days a week. As I stated earlier like most people I circuit training exercises that involves several stations, so I notice when something is not right. Lately as I mentioned previously, I notice that the mechanical scale needs calibrating. I see several people attempting to use it only to realize that it was not accurate. Otherwise, the facility is a good place to spend time.

The gym remains a place for me to be three days a week. I am usually a morning person for exercising, however I found that many people come in sick such as colds and flu all thinking that they will get well quicker. My timing helps to avoid that. On the other hand, I make the best of my nightly visits by using many of the stations during the 2 and a half hours I spend there. We’ve been proud Powerhouse Gym members since moving here from San Diego two years ago. Across the board, we’ve had great experiences at all three locations—Murrieta, Menifee, and San Jacinto. If you're looking for newer equipment, especially machines focused on glute and lower body workouts, both the Murrieta and Menifee locations offer more updated options.

That said, we have to give special recognition to the San Jacinto team. While the equipment there is a bit more dated, the staff truly make the difference. Chris, Grace, and Cindy are consistently welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Their positive attitudes are one of the main reasons we still frequent the San Jacinto location—shout out to them for always making us feel valued!

As for Menifee, we mainly come here for the steam sauna—one of Powerhouse’s standout features. In fact they are THE ONLY GYM that offers steam sauna pls pls don’t get rid of them 🙏🏽we have LAF & EOS and they don’t have steam saunas. Unlike many gyms that only offer dry saunas, Powerhouse Menifee offers a steam sauna, which is the #1 plus & their Best Selling point! However, we’ve found that it’s often out of order. We’ve since gotten into the habit of calling ahead to confirm whether it’s operational before making the trip, we don’t mind calling and all we ask is to Keep their steam sauna 🙏🏽🥰

Another highlight of the Menifee location is the Kids Club. We’ve found the staff here to be warm, friendly, and genuinely good with kids. It makes a huge difference when the childcare team is not only professional but also pleasant and welcoming. Compared to other locations, the Kids Club team in Menifee really stands out.

I would give this gym negative stars if possible. First off, everything about this gym WOULD have been 4-5 stars, because equipment and amenities wise, they excel there. HOWEVER, what they do not tell you is what an absolute nightmare it is to cancel your membership. In fact, they make it so you are essentially signed into a contract and will be refused cancellation of your membership unless you have a reason that they deem acceptable (they say medical reasons or if you are moving, even then, you have to pay a ridiculous fee). My mom had a membership here, and wanted to cancel, they told her when she signed up that it would not be hard to cancel after my mom had asked “Before I sign anything, is it a nightmare to cancel?”, they promised her it would not be. My mom was unable to pay her membership, bugged them about wanting to cancel, did everything she could in order to cancel, and they still continued to refuse her a cancellation of her membership while to continuing to give her late fees rather than simply terminate her membership, as they state they will resort to in the agreement. Sure, I am at fault for not reading heavily into the contract, but there’s no reason a gym should not be transparent about what the contract truly says. In order to cancel, they direct you to a website where you have to email a higher up company, but they refuse to answer my questions directly about any question related to my cancellation. Thru simply state, “ABC is required to adhere to the policies set by the club.”…in response to a series of questions I asked of them. They in fact answered zero questions. As a first gym experience, this makes me never want to return to another gym once I get out of this one. I would highly recommend looking into nearly any other gym...
