If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I decided to go to Olive Garden as he was working a lot yesterday. Additionally, his birthday is coming up, so I wanted to alert the person who was taking our name down. The wait was really long, but we were at least able to sit down while we were waiting. Once seated, and our waitress came over, I showed her that we had a coupon for a free appetizer or desert, which she said she didn’t know how that worked and had to find out. Really? I figured we were off to a bad start and I was absolutely correct. My husband order the all you can eat soup and salad. My husband and I were not done eating or ordering. The waitress not only brought out the desert while we were still eating our food, but she also brought out the check. Mt husband and I both thought was very insulting and rude and we felt very rushed. People don’t typically go out to eat to be rushed. It’s even worse to be rushed when celebrating a special occasion. I had gone to the restroom and happened to run into an employee at Olive Garden reminding them that it was my husband’s birthday. I didn’t want them to sing , as my husband doesn’t care for that, but I did ask them put a candle on it. Was a candle put on it? No. The waitress asked my husband what desert he wanted, but didn’t even show him a menu. He ordered Tiramisu and the restaurant ran out. She brought out the Lasagna Brownie and said several times, she would take it off the bill. Nobody even bothered to clear our dirty plates. We waited over 45 minutes to be seated and then to be rushed out of there and when we’re celebrating a special occasion, my husband was so frustrated at that point, so we left. Needless to say, our celebration was completely ruined I feel like I owe it to my husband for a redo birthday celebration at a different restaurant. If a restaurant is so unorganized, perhaps they should wait to open . Would we go back? I don’t know. If this was a non-chain, I think my husband and I would have a little bit more understanding. When it’s a chain, they should have some formula. This isn’t the first time that Olive Garden has opened a restaurant, but it sure seemed like it. I certainly hope a manger of the restaurant sees my review and some of the other negative ones so that they get their act together. If you see my other reviews you will see that my husband and I give stellar reviews when it’s deserved, meaning we don’t just complain unless there’s a valid reason. Olive Garden Menifee needs to get their act together. They aren’t the only sit down restaurant in the area. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, including Murrieta...
Read moreYou can read my long-standing review below this update-- which can be resolved by a bit of attention and improvement on the less commendable points I make right now. This is December 14, 2024 and today we decided to have our usual meal of Shrimp Fettuccini and Pasta e Fagiole soup. Here are a few things I found to be less than our. usual experience at OG. Twice someone came to our table to inform us that there was a delay because whoever was to take care of us was busy with a large party. This is poor messaging and serves no purpose except to insult the "smaller" customer a little bit. I don't really care but I think, for the sake of running an excellent business, Olive Garden management may want to institute a little more customer aware language, in other words, think about what the customer is experiencing. A slight insult could probably be avoided with a statement like, we'll have your server here as soon as we can. I buy this meal often so I know what to expect. We got something a little different this time, which I happen to like but my wife not so much. We received the full seafood fettuccini with those little scallops or whatever they are. I love 'em. My wife left hers in the bowl. She just dosn't enjoy them the way I do. That was after the waitress repeated I'll order back to us and said shrimp scampi which I quickly corrected. I never ordered shrimp scampi because I like the fettuccine. I was surprised after that attention to detail that we still ended up with something different than we ordered at least slightly different. Finally, the fettuccine noodles were definitely undercooked. Not just al dente but quite chewy and some parts of the meal and it looked as if maybe it had been left under a heat lamp or something or the noodles just pulled out too soon and they weren't cooked all the way through. This is not something that usually happens at Olive Garden either but it did today. We were hungry and it didn't stop us from eating it and the flavor was as good as always but I think we came in intending to pay for a 405 star experience but today we definitely got a three. Looking forward to improvement on our next visit! Thanks
Below is my long standing review--
Visited a few days ago. This new Olive Garden is SWAMPED! We local residents have a pent up OG jones and now we have our own. Service was quick and people are getting in fairly fast considering the wait lists. We took the bar for a quick late lunch. Everyone on staff is on the hustle serving with friendliness and courtesy despite the...
Read moreBad vibe, excuses from the start, I can understand when they're shorthanded, however the food was mediocre, cold soup, Chicken and Gnocchi- where's the chicken? The fried chicken in the main dish tasted like old oil was used, the poor server Bri, kept saying their "bread maker wasn't there"and brought us bread that appeared to have been around for a while. The server "Bri" was really trying to keep up appearances, the hostess was all smiles, however why were we seated all the way in the back in the corner? When there was seating right up front and in more open areas, almost like certain cultures only😔I'm thinking there are some old old ways and mindsets that go alongside dining at this place. The waitress flat out called me a liar when speaking about me trying something like they had years ago- rude-. I told waitress Bri, " I'll order my drink with my meal, however I never got it, she kept saying oh there's pictures on the little kiosk on the table - it could be insulting- insinuating reading wasn't our forte. Oh I know Spanish so I can understand. The chef may have been tired, then lower the prices when shorthanded and tired workers because the food wasn't giving amazing taste and service lacked, and please stop judging people by how they look and seating them in corners or next to 🚻 restrooms when there's plenty of open options up front, middle areas. 🤔 We were told the salad was out of a bag- all ice berg lettuce- so now it looks like every dish is from the box/frozen and microwavable, I could do that, so much for having a cook or so called chef. For the price some romaine would be great. I saw the difference in the salad on the table near us. Bri got a very good GRACIOUS tip...... The soup was endless however not worth continuing -especially with the type of...
