Would leave 0 star if possible ! Had been trying to become a patient here for a year or so. Liked that everything was located in one place. Went for my establishment apt in 2/22. Aprn ordered blood work. Upon fasting and going to lab was told diagnostic codes were missing and I had limited coverage. I called as did lab to straighten this out. I did not feel well for 2 days due to fasting. 2 days after I was told it was straightened out. At lab the following week after fasting again, I was told I still had limited coverage and had to sign a paper saying I would pay if insurance denied it. Then was told it went through. I carried a $300+ balance on my lab account for several months. Chc called me saying I had to make an apt to straighten it out! Pcp was going to call lab with me present as she didn't order labs. I asked if I would be charged for apt and was told they weren't sure! I told them to ask ordering aprn and was told she was in a different department! I have been waiting since 2/2022 for a behavioral health appointment. I agreed to go to Bristol Middletown or meriden however I needed an afternoon in person apt. I was called several times for early am phone apts! I explained several times I didn't want an am phone apt! They became rude and argumentative when I told them i didnt want an am phone apt. I was rudely told to take am phone apt as then it doesn't matter time! When I explained I didn't want a phone apt I was rudely told "we ain't got no-one " at those times! I went to an apt and after waiting over 10 minutes to be checked in, I was told I had to reschedule as Dr wasn't in! They insisted I was texted! However I wasn't! I don't drive and have to inconvenience someone! I have been treated like a drug seeker regarding a medication I have been on for 20 years. I have since had to add another expense to have this managed! In January of this year I called Medicare about a weight loss benefit. I spent 40 minutes on the phone with 2 representatives obtaining the information about where and who to go to. I was told it had to be done by and at a pcp and covered 100%. I relayed the information in detail to chc. I was told it could be done there. I showed the benefit on the medicare.gov website to my pcp and explained it at both apts. I was then billed for 2 separate charges by chc for the 2 apts that are supposed to be covered at 100%! It's billed under incorrect ICD 9 code! I left 3 voicemails with no reply! I talked to 2 very rude and argumentative people in billing who insist it's billed correctly! One talked over me saying that location is not a "regular chc" despite my saying I checked with them beforehand and was told it could be done there! Medicare says it's not billed correctly and that location doesn't matter however cannot do anything! I'm now out money for 2 apts and at a standstill with my weight! Staff is rude when you contact them, and no-one follows through! My husband never saw his pcp after his establishment apt. He was told the dr only did telehealth and was not available! He no longer goes to chc! RUN from this place! It's horrible! I worked in medical field for many years and they treat me like I am stupid! Very poor treatment here! It's not acceptable! Am leaving as soon...
Read moreOnly reason I go here is because it’s only a few minutes away from my home but it’s been almost a year since I have been going here and the service just keeps getting worse. The pharmacy is bad, you’ll rarely find a good receptionist and I don’t even know how the doctors are even doctors. Sometimes they’re nice but in the most part, it all just depends on them and when they want to be nice which is unacceptable. I tried changing my families providers and they always bring me back to the same provider without even letting me know. They always change my appointment time and they tell me to wait over an hour. The wait time on the phone is ridiculous and the most shocking part is my doctor googles all my basic symptoms and then tells me what they’re going to do… like i could’ve done the same but you wouldn’t believe me. No where in the world you’ll find doctors like them. I pray for this place. Advice, if you’re new or thinking of changing places to see the doctor, don’t come here. The service you’ll get is most likely going to be bad....
