Meriden Pizza Express — Restaurant in Meriden

Placed a delivery order online. Used the option for giving instructions to the driver and provided my cell #, asking that a call be made so I could go outside and pick up the pizza. After 90 mins (25 mins past the estimated delivery time), I called the store and was told that the pizza was delivered to a lady at the door. I explained that I am home and was awaiting a call or text, and was put on hold, but ultimately disconnected. I figured out that the delivery went to the wrong house. I called back to say that the instructions weren't followed, the order was delivered wrong, and while I had eventually gotten the pizza, it was ice cold. The response I received was, "OK great. Thanks" and I was hing up on..

In addition, as I went to eat a slice of my cold pizza, I noticed a strong sweet smell that resembled maple. I assume the bacon on my meat lovers pizza was a maple bacon, and not traditional bacon. I despise maple, and rechecked the menu. Nowhere does it state the use of a maple product.

Not only VERY disappointed by the entire transaction, but insulted by the hang up, and quick dismissal as if it were my fault or that I was pulling a con! A simple read of the delivery instructions (that they ask for!) would have avoided the delivery mistake.. but also, in combination, clearer descriptions in the menu would not have resulted in 90 mins of wasted wait time, and $35 of pizza being tossed in the trash.

I don't know what these people are talking about. This was the first and last time I will ever order from this place. First off the delivery guy was completely rude. I mean he knocked on my door like a psycho and yelled at me, actually YELLED at me for not answering my phone. I told him that my phone is right here and no one called me. He verified my number and still insisted that I never answered. He then showed me his phone and rudely said "see I call you 20 times." We had just verified my number on the paper and he called the wrong number. Absolutely no apologize. Then he tried to take off without giving me my soda. Then we opened pizza to eat and the cheese pizza was black. I mean it was so overcooked. Cheese was hard and black, sauce had horrible burnt taste. I got a veggie pizza and that was acceptable. I am really disappointed because the prices were one of the best in Meriden. With all these reviews I can't believe how bad I was treated. No apology nothing. For the last few years, as if every years feels as well is it is to remember every experience in town in and out of town for the sake of the community.., the townsfolk,...the family that require high quality at a great price and yet, high value to that which is most families effort. There is a place, Meriden Pizza Express with Express pizza. A palace of grand expression to indicate to anyone who eats there that value comes within. And those seeking a delicious boardwalk downtown in Meriden that has a specific taste of Italy among the other tradesman, a delicious bakery next door, a music office and quite a many community offices, facilities, churches and everything nearby lacks no sense of hope. There is, has been, and is going to be there where the history meets the ever growing team among us all.
