As a woman who actually supports women, Courtney and I Beni Boutique, I truly do wish you success.

But I also believe in reaping what you sew. And you earned this one star review with your absolutely abhorrent treatment of a customer who was not critical of you at all, but shared her negative experience in your boutique.

The way a business handles a negative review tells a lot more about the business than the review itself. Most of us can read a review and discern whether or not the complaints are legitimate. But this business took a small piece of constructive criticism from another Google review and blasted it over social media for trolls to stalk and harass a woman who had a very valid experience to share.

A business that handles negativity that way and decides to multiply it and mock a woman who did absolutely nothing wrong—well that is not a women-supporting-women business.

I will not be supporting a business run this way, and I would implore others to reconsider before giving your business to a woman who would act that way in the face of a 3-star review all the while claiming to love making women “feel good.” You made a customer who came into your store and left a 3-star review have to lock down her social media accounts to deal with the harassment from your “fans”. Explain to me again how allowing your followers to tear down another woman because she didn’t enjoy her experience in your store is SUPPORTING other women?

You said on your instagram post you don’t want or need business. Congrats then. You’ve lost mine, and while mine might not matter, I hope other people see how cruel and unprofessional you have acted and may consider shopping...

Every time I stop in, I have an amazing shopping experience. Courtney and her girls are always so helpful and friendly, specially Courtney, the owner. She’s like a personal shopper, always getting me to try things on that I probably never would. She has an eye for shape and is very honest if something doesn’t look right. Courtney is amazing at what she does! She picks the cutest gift items/fashionable clothes/hats/jewlery etc. out for her shop and her team is amazing at helping you out!
