Bowl of Heaven Meridian — Restaurant in Meridian

I went in there on Saturday to grab two bowls and have the worst experience. To sum it up would be to say it was quietly chaotic. There were two girls working the taller of the two girls with her gloves on continue to wipe her nose, her mouth and even her leg at one point, never changing her gloves. That girl also never smiled, never engaged in eye contact with any customers, and just seemed miserable working.

The process of them taking the order and making the bowl seemed extremely confusing, at best. There were points of time where both of the employees would be in the back doing something and nobody out front. There was cut fruit and bowls lined up on the counters. At one point, they actually went and got a bag of frozen pineapple and scooped it directly from the bag because the bin had no pineapple in it.

I actually even emailed the owners while sitting there waiting for my bowls. Today, I have not heard back from them. One would think that they would want to know what is going on in their store. Or, maybe not.

It took me 55 minutes from the time I placed my order to actually get my bowls and leave. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

The kicker, their POS system is set up that if you tap your card too quickly or just a tad far from perfect, you actually end up, leaving them a 20% tip, which I did. It definitely, definitely was...

I really wanted to love this place, the staff was friendly, but the way they run things really needs help. I got there when it wasn’t busy at all, but still waited about 30 minutes for just two regular-sized açaí bowls while people who ordered after me got theirs first. There didn’t seem to be any system or order for how they make or hand out the bowls.

On top of that, one of the bowls I ordered was the “Brent bowl,” which is supposed to be a mystery flavor at 25% off, but I got charged full price anyway. To make things worse, when I finally got my bowl, the açaí was mostly melted down.

The staff is nice, but the lack of organization, random pricing, and long wait times really took away from the experience. I probably wouldn’t come back unless they figure out a better system and make sure you actually get...

Healthy ice cream alternative! When you have a sweet tooth and need a sweet alternative, come here! Friendly staff. Great portions for price, fresh ingredients, fun typical fruit choices, and very clean establishment. We went with the Shrek bowl, thinking my daughter and I could split it. We ate all our hearts desired and still had so much leftover! We really loved the way it was layered, so every bite was filled with lots of yumminess. We only wished they had outside seating to enjoy the warm weather with a cold treat. The picture is our leftovers! That's how huge this bowl is!!! I'm super excited...
