Fountain Plaza Skate Park — Attraction in Mesa

There is no off-street parking, and I found guest parking in an apartment area a little bit ahead. I suppose you can also park by the convenience store but that lot is very small and I don't feel it would be fun to back out of, and I don't think that store would be happy for us using it as a spot to leave our cars while we skate. Due to the parking situation, not worth it to come unless you live in the area. The skate park is very small. There were no huge curved walls to do tricks on, but instead it had some small balance beans and very short curved walls. This can be, looking at the silver lining, a good beginner's park. Unfortunately there are some shady people there, and speaking of shade... there actually there is a roof over the skate area which is great for AZ summers- helps you stay cool. This park has a little bit of everything. The park could host beginner to advance skaters.

The location of the park doesn’t offer any parking except for at local businesses. They may or may not let you park there for long periods of time.

The size of the park is small but you can get a good skate session in.

I rated this park as two stars due to the location (with the park being at the corner of an intersection it does pose more danger with the traffic around it), lack of parking, and size of the park (it can get cramped with only a small amount of people skating).

Deffinitely take the time to make a quick stop here for a little warm up and then hit...

So far, it’s my favorite skatepark in pheonix. Needs the rock island middle ledges, underneath the red sunscreen shade, to be filled in and smoothed out w concrete. The tiny rocks get everywhere and create a mess/ hazard. Also filling this in w smooth concrete (no cracks), would create another fun element to ride on. (Two manual pads)....
