I am not registered at St.Timothy but have attended mass here on occasion and have come to St.Timothy for the sacrament of reconciliation. They have been wonderful to visit, the Priest I have encountered during the handful of instances I have attended this parish has been one of the most kind and compassionate people I’ve had the chance to interact with. I do have a preference for more traditional, solemn/reverent masses (I am referring to reverent Novus Ordo masses, not the TLM) and am registered/attend a Parish that nourishes that desire and preference that I have (the incense, Ad Orientem, chant and choir, Latin prayers)- which is what leads to my giving a four star instead of a five star rating for St. Timothy as I do wish they offered the option for a more solemn Mass. HOWEVER, the Mass is an amazing experience even if my preferences for music or certain preaching aren’t met every time because it’s not about me or MY entertainment, it’s about encountering Christ in the Eucharist and to be involved in the Holy Sacrifice, the re-creation of the Last Supper - which is present all over the world, in all Catholic Churches. I want to express my deep gratitude and appreciation to the Priest that was celebrating the Mass I attended at St. Timothy’s recently who had an incredibly passionate homily expressing deep love for Christ and the work that is constantly needing to be done so our relationship with Him will always grow- in addition to this homily, the beautiful reverence this Priest showed during the consecration was something that I was truly blessed to witness. The music may have been a little cheesy and contemporary for me (the loud chatting of the congregation before and after Mass was also a little bothersome) - but when I witnessed the love that Priest showed for the Eucharist, all of the distractions I had felt earlier instantly melted away and I was reminded why I was there in the first place. This parish brings out kneelers for those who want to receive on the tongue kneeling, they do chant some of the prayers in Latin, and they play Gregorian Chant during confession times on Saturday. So there is tradition here mixed in with some modern elements. They have something for everyone and I am disheartened by the uncharitable review another Catholic posted recently on this Parish - that person should do some deep reflection and realize that all they are doing is virtue signaling and behaving in a manner that can be seen as stuck up. I pray for them. I will also pray for St Timothy and for all our Catholic brothers and sisters, especially our...
Read moreCatholic or not, if you're looking for a more modern church with AMAZING music and AMAZING father's, this is the place to go. I drive about 20 minutes to get here and it well worth the drive. The church I was going to was very conservative (in my opinion) and lacked in the music department. Word of advice: if you come here, get here early because it gets packed and if you arrive late be prepared to stand, trust me I learned my lesson the first time around! HAHA! The church is a little plane jane on the outside but beautiful on the inside. There is a gorgeous mural when facing the altar and it's STADIUM seating, thats right, stadium seating which I think is pretty neat because no matter where you sit, you can see the entire alter! Father Jack is an amazing priest who gives excellent homilies, they are always positive, funny, and full of so much energy! There is nothing more that I like than a homily with some UMPH in it! It is such a welcoming church and everyone is so friendly! Overall, this church is awesome and recommend it...
Read moreFrom California was visiting family for the holidays. All week before going to AZ and the entire time I was in AZ , I kept getting this push or sense to find a church to go to. I did, I started looking them up and what do you know, I come across St. Timothy's and it's beautiful reliquarium. It was literally a Block from my daughter's home. My husband and I have been having a hard time with our daughters choice of leaving the catholic faith and Christianity. That day Father Cicero gave a beautiful sermon. It was like we were meant to be there to hear that message. I couldn't hold my tears in a mass. Everyone there was welcoming, the choir/band was amazing! The ASL area was so beautiful to watch during the singing parts. 😭 On my weekends I'm on call I make sure to tune into mass on Sundays through their YouTube channel. I've also recently joined hallow and what do you know, father Cicero is on there too! I pray for all those at St. Timothy. My husband wants to move just to go to the...
