We went to the Mesquite arena with pre-purchased tickets to watch Tracy Lawrence in concert. We arrived an hour before the door scheduled opening, 7:00 for an 8:00 concert and found that this arena is nowhere near being ADA compliant. Several uncomfortable instances, First instance.... Parking. The $20 parking fee for an hour and a half concert is unjustifiable. We are talking about the Mesquite rodeo arena, not downtown Dallas. Second instance.... I had a handicapped person in the car with me. I told the young man collecting the parking money that I needed handicapped parking. He pointed to a parking lot a hundred yards down the road that was directly in front of the area. The already full parking lot had four handicapped parking spaces, all occupied. No arena personnel were around to ask for help. This is an event with thousands of folks in attendance, four handicapped parking slots is NOT adequate. We were forced to park a distance from the main entrance forcing the handicapped person to walk a long distance. Third instance....We approached the south side doors and asked the attendant about handicapped entrance. He stated that the entrance was for V.I.P. guest only. He pointed to a line of folks that extended around the building. He said we had to wait in line until the main doors open at 8:00. Fourth instance.... We got in line at 6:15. Waited in line for 45 minutes. No door opening. We were told the doors would open 30 minutes late because there was a V.I.P. group already in the arena that required all of the arenas available personal. Waiting in line with a handicapped person for one hour and fifteen minutes is just wrong in every aspect. Fifth instance.... After taking our seats in the area we were told the concert would start 30 minutes late due to the V.I.P. folks that wear already in attendance. The Tracy Lawrence concert was really good. The arena parking policies, arena operations and arena personnel are very inadequate and offer zero assistance to guest and ADA people. We will not be back to the...
Read moreHad a great outing there at the Rodeo. The arena is climate controlled and family friendly. This was first time for us on visiting the Monster Truck wars show. Loved the place. The staffs were friendly and showed good hospitality. The arena had VIP kiosk for entering the building. The parking space is huge. And the people charge $10/- for parking before entering the parking spot. It's better to reach the venue before an HR to choose your seats. The tickets price vary according to the show in the arena. The food stalls was very near to the arena, which hardly takes 2 minutes to get out and buy the food items. No outside food or drinks are allowed. The show which we went was Truck show, which is happening once a year at the Arena. I got a VIP ticket to have a better view, and it had the best view in the house. The arena also had family boxes, which was situated above the general seatings and VIP seatings, which was also had a great view from the box to watch the show. It was great, fun and loud. Since, the arena is a closed place, the trucks emitted a lot of smoke, which doesn't had much of any exhaust to get out, which made some of the people uncomfortable and some of them went out for some air and then returned back to their seats. On the whole, such a great and different experience. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. The arena was clean and neat. It's a surely recommend place for any shows in the...

The young girls and boys did and awesome job riding sheep, cattle, an horse's right a long with with Cowgirl's and Cowboys/ Lady's & Gentlemen that where roping, riding horse's around the barrels, an can't forget the bull riding, the youngest to adults where amazing. The song selection was non stop with favorite hit songs, and they had a guest artist to perform. I had great time with family and friends in the suite we where in for the extravaganza they had available for us celebrate the up coming Cowgirl's & Cowboys of the future.
