Our experience was HORRIBLE and VERY HUMILIATING. I traveled from FL to TX with my registered service dog, who is trained to provide support for my mental disability. We were confirmed for a 3 night stay on Sunday, 10/30, ending on Wednesday, 11/2, which I informed the hotel of my service animal on my online reservation. The room was in no way suitable for our stay but we were willing to deal with the unkept room until Christina at the front desk told my husband that my service dog was not allowed in that hotel without papers. He attempted to explain that he was my service animal but I was working, couldn’t stop to let him go out, and promised I would bring his documents shortly. She demanded that he not bring my REGISTERED service dog back in the facilities and threatened to call the police. My husband came to get me immediately and explained what was just conveyed to him. I immediately stopped working and took my RSA’s papers and registered service animal badge, which we’ve carried with us for the 7 years that we’ve had him with no problems ever. She was on the phone with the manager, Sudohl (I believe that was the name), and was calling me a liar and a fraud. She took a photo of the ID, stated it did not look legitimate and asked me what service does my dog provide, while (insinuating he was a pet or emotional support animal and not a registered service animal). I stated he provides service for my disability but she continued questioning exactly what services does he provide. I asked her was she asking what my disability was and she stated my law she can ask what services my service animal provides for me. I told her she is not allowed to question me in that manner. She showed me a paper of animals not allowed in the hotel and told me that my emotional support animal was not allowed. I continued to explain to her that he was not an ESA and attempted a difference. She told me her manager was going to call to verify my information and would let me know if we could stay or not. I was very upset and humiliated by her continued accusations that he was most likely a emotional support animal that should not be allowed in the hotel. I told her that we would leave and report her to the ADA. She seemed to not be bothered by my words and informed me she check us out and refund us if we wanted to leave. At this point I was irate and very upset with her manner. I attempted to record our conversation due to my disbelief of her actions. She left me at the window and refused to provide any more service to us. We waited over 30 mins for her to complete our transaction but she never returned. I called law enforcement to assist us as I was appalled with our treatment. They never came so we left. I cannot believe this type of service. This should be unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a Wyndham Hotel. I have reported this facility to the ADA for denying us access even after providing the clerk with the registered...
Read moreHorrible, horrible hotel. Started out our stay by going in the room and seeing that the sheets were stained and the bath didn't have a plug. No big deal here we can manage that. The bed wasnt the best quality but fortunately we did not have bed bugs on ours (I had a couple bites on me the next morning but we'll blame it on mosquitoes). The next morning we went to get the grab and go breakfast as it stated there was online, only to find they only had old muffins and coffee. In the jacuzzi only the feet jets would work. The next night of our stay we got back to our room to find that the ceiling was leaking water all over our belongings. Called the front desk (young boy who didn't really know what to do..didn't expect him to) and he contacted the manager who im assuming said to just put a bucket under the water because that was the "solution" for the night. Refused to move us to a different room saying they were booked full but online said otherwise. Next up, when I got home I realized I left my purse in the hotel room. We called them immediately to talk to a woman who said she couldn't go check the room until after the current occupant checks out at 11 (so they had an occupant in the room with a ceiling leak the night prior?) We called right before 11 to see right at that time if my purse was in there and the woman said they didn't find it. We asked how she went and checked when it wasn't 11 yet when she told us it was impossible to check before 11? The woman became increasingly rude and hung up on us. My husband continued to call back to retrieve information from the woman who would not tell us in any way how to get a hold of the manager. Then she started to pick up the phone and hang it up. When we called again, she said she was calling the police for "harassment". When we tried asking how we were harassing when we were only trying to get information that we needed, she hung up again. The manager of this hotel finally emailed me after corporate made him. He continues to ignore our calls and insists that he calls us daily with no response (call logs will say otherwise). I gave this man two numbers to reach us and he continues to ignore us. I beg you all to learn from my mistake and pay extra to get a room at any other hotel but here so you do not have to deal with thieves/scammers/property destruction. The manager Sushil Kumar is the worst manager I've ever encountered and their staff definitely follows in the...
Read moreA waste of money! We had three rooms rented for a wedding. At first, it was so great. It smelled nice, super clean, and good service|One of the rooms was on the second floor and had a light out in the bathroom. They ended up just giving us from a 1 bed to a 2 bed on the first floor for no charge as a solution. Cool. The second room, nothing wrong and it was great. The third room had stains on the bed, cigarettes still put out and sitting there, and just a very gross atmosphere. They sent room service to the room and cleaned it quickly.|The next morning, we go to the breakfast room. We were excited for Texas shaped waffles that we seen in the photos. Instead, we were greeted with yogurts, muffins, juice. Everything was out or not working— even the cereal and milk were “out” at the start.|We went about our day regardless. It was cheap, so we couldn’t be too mad. We asked them to skip our room for cleaning as we didn’t want people in our room. We talked to the cleaning crew and just asked for three new towels and some toilet paper. They told us to just throw out the dirty ones to the hall. Pretty easy, cool.|We checked out the next day, 30 minutes before check out.|Shortly after we left, I got a call that I originally missed. No voicemail left, but I called back. No answer. I called again and was told that a blanket and all the towels were gone and we would be charged $200. I was so confused, told them how we didn’t take anything and it must be a misunderstanding. The lady said she would talk to her cleaning staff and call me back.|I never got a call back- but I did get an alert of a $200 charge on my card.|My boyfriend called back and they basically said there’s nothing they can do and the charge is final.|I understand it’s a common truck stop and many people probably lie and steal- but why would I steal ALL the cheap (used at this point) towels and a blanket? Most of us brought our own blankets and just slept on top of the bed. This place is such a scam. Now I see why the room costs were so low- a $200 charge after is what you don’t see! If you have any debate on staying here- don’t. Learn...
