Mesquite Convention Center — Attraction in Mesquite

Came here for a convention, and the hotel’s staff do an AMAZING job of keeping the place immaculate, even during a convention. Alas, some of the corridors are like mazes. The pool is a little small, but for the location it is in, it makes sense. Finding a parking spot was… difficult to say the least, especially during the convention. And on that note, the parking lot does need some work, as obviously the staff of the hotel and convention center are there working as Customer and Food Service individuals, not parking lot maintenance crews. The owners should walk their parking lots every now and then to make sure things are in order, and when they’re not, to know when to order for a work crew to come in and fill the pot holes, or get some asphalt and fill it in themselves. You don’t want to make the outside of the hotel look bad, while the staff and the inside are perfect...

This is a great, smaller venue for regional sized conventions, special events, weddings and parties. The grounds and facilities were very clean and maintained properly, the air conditioning worked fine and the bathrooms were always clean and in top shape. Convention staff was very helpful and I enjoyed the event. There was ample parking available, and it was very easy to get in an out of the venue. I wish there were more restaurants or developments nearby, you had to get on the freeway and drive at least 10-15 minutes for fuel, restaurants or any shopping needs you had. Excellent in every way. This was an unusual place, seeing the Mesquite convention center was co-located with hotel accommodations. I was attending the 50th wedding anniversary of a family friend and found this to be the most accommodating facility for out of town guests. From our room we could view the pool area below and the entrance into the convention suite. Anyone needing to retire would be able to do so by returning to their room at any time.
