Review for Rosie Escolero at Home Depot
I am writing this review to share my extremely disappointing experience with Rosie Escolero at Home Depot. Initially, Rosie was very pleasant and helpful while trying to secure the sale, which gave me hope that my appliance purchase would go smoothly. However, this turned out to be far from the truth.
A few days before my scheduled appliance delivery, I called to confirm that everything was on track, and it seemed like it was. But on the actual day of delivery, when I called to check the status, I was told that my appliances would not be delivered and that I would have to wait an additional 3-4 weeks. To make matters worse, Rosie responded with an incredibly rude attitude, saying, "If you don't like it, that's what it is and there's nothing you can do," and then she hung up on me. I was absolutely shocked by her behavior.
I immediately called the 1-800 number to try to get some help and was informed that my appliances were on backorder and that the saleswoman should have informed me of this. I explained that if I had known about the backorder, I would never have made the purchase since I needed the appliances urgently. Unfortunately, the call dropped before I could get further assistance.
That same Saturday, I went to Lowe’s and found a great deal on appliances, which were delivered on Memorial Day, just two days after my purchase. It was such a relief to deal with a company that values its customers.
Against my better judgment, I called Rosie again the next day to ask what I needed to do to cancel my order. Her attitude was even worse this time. She dismissively said, "Don't worry about it, I will cancel it. Don't bother coming to the store," and hung up on me.
Today, 5/31, I followed up with Home Depot to ensure my order was canceled, only to find out that Rosie had not canceled it as she claimed. I am so glad I called to confirm! This experience has shown me that Home Depot may be eager to make a sale, but they are severely lacking in accountability and customer service when it counts.
I will never buy from Rosie Escolero again, and I strongly encourage anyone else to avoid her at all costs. Living in Texas, a one-party consent state, I recorded my interactions with her to ensure there is no doubt about her unprofessional demeanor and the way she spoke to my wife and me.
This entire ordeal has been incredibly frustrating, and I hope Home Depot seriously considers making changes to improve their...
Read moreI live near this Home Depot and have been here several times. In all the times I have been to the store (probably a dozen or so), I have never once been asked if I need any help, or have any questions. It's as if they TRY to avoid you. But, because its the closest one to my house, by a long shot, I basically just have to deal with it...
Recently, I decided to build a fence, I called ahead to make sure they had the items I needed in stock, (last time I went there to pick something up, it said online they had the items I needed, but then once I got there they did not. I asked an associate why that was, he told me that I needed to call first before I come in, because the information online is not accurate.)
So anyways, as advised, I decided to call first to make sure they had the items I needed in stock. As you can see from the picture I attached, I was on hold for well over an hour. A total of 6 people picked up the phone, asked what I needed, then said "ok, give me one second to find someone to help you" then placed me back on hold, until someone else would come along and pick up the phone and ask me the same question, then give me the same answer, then leave me on hold until the process was repeated, yet again.
The Home Depot constantly advertises that they have the best customer service, and I will say that I have been to The Home Depot at other locations and had great experiences! This one however, I literally have never had one good experience with. No one will help you. Everyone seems rushed, and too busy to assist, and clearly, they don't have a very good "phone answering service" either. As I was typing this message, someone picked up the phone while it was ringing, and disconnected the call. I was on hold for an hour and 17 minutes. I really hope this message will help someone not to have to go through the hassle of what I had to. Please avoid this store, at all costs! If you have to drive further, do it! You will be...
Read moreBought a stove on May 18, delivery was supposed to be on 22 May (not sure). Received a call and was informed that delivery will be delayed and will be on the 9th of June l said OK. Receive an email on 8th of June regarding the delivery, will be delivered on June 9 between 9am to 12pm. On June 9, tracked delivery status, window time was blank. I called the phone number posted on email to follow up regarding the delivery. I was told item shipment was delayed and delivery will be on the 12 of June I said OK. received an email regarding the delivery window, 12 pm to 4pm, a day before. Item was delivered, my mother received the delivery I’m at work, when we open the box to plug it in it was not the model of stove that I bought. My brother in law called Home Depot to tell them about it, he called more than 5 times and was always put on hold and the line would be lost. He was able to talk to someone (he was asking to talk to the manager the last time he called), he told to the Home Depot staff what happened, heard from the the other line “so what do you want me to do, you already receive it” (he’s on speaker) he again explained the it was not the stove that we I bought, then he was instructed to take a picture of the serial number of the stove and the serial number on the receipt and it was of course different because it’s not the stove that I bought. Then we took a picture of the serial number posted in the box and it is the serial number of the stove that I bought.
This is so stressful. Staff handling the help line was bad and rude...
Supposed to give zero star but I can’t make a review without...
