My friend recommended I get a curly cut from Stephanie at Evnia after I shared with her that I was still struggling to embrace my curly hair after years of straightening it. I didn’t even know what a curly cut was, but after having one last summer, I can’t believe I wait this long. My curls fall into place even on my low maintenance days. Stephanie gave me an extremely thorough lesson on how to properly maintain my curls and recreate my looks, how to sleep with it, wash it, and suggested brushes to use without trying to push or pressure me into buying anything right then and there.

I just went back again for another one and added full-highlights this time as well, and couldn’t be happier. I’ve learned more about how to care of my hair in two appointments with her than I ever did with my salon I had been going to prior. Everyone is so nice and friendly and I have never felt uncomfortable calling to schedule my appointments, or asking questions about things I am unsure of about my hair care routine.

The salon is clean, sleek and nicely lit. Everyone working here is friendly and the atmosphere is relax and not at all “stuffy”. Stephanie is professional, knowledgeable and friendly and has done wonders with my curly hair. It looks great both curly and straight now. She has also found the perfect color for me. I’ve also had my hair Brazilian/de-frizzed here and it was long-lasting. I’ve never felt rushed and she’s always willing to provide tips on how to do my hair at home. Tori at the desk is also friendly and efficient and makes it easy to book my next appt. They also send text & email reminders which really help. The products they use in the salon are available for purchase, but they never suggest you buy them unless you ask about them first. There is also convenient, free off-street parking available in a lot behind the salon. I was going here before Covid and since salons were allowed to reopen, I’ve never felt unsafe coming here.
