Ordered furniture set over phone on 7/4/20 to be delivered 7/13/20. Paid in full via CC $3,319.92. Wrong set ordered by store. Spoke with salesman "Kevin". I asked if they had the CatNapper Verona 423 in stock. Kevin said yes and it could be delivered 7/13/2020. We spoke more about price, extended warranty and the "special sale price" for couch, loveseat, and recliner plus delivery and extended warranty was $3,319.92. Invoice ID 19312. He asked if I was going to finance or pay in full. When I advised we would be paying in full he said no need to come into store. On Tuesday, 7/7/2020, I stopped in to King's as I wanted to see the set in person prior to delivery as I'd never bought furniture sight unseen before. A salesman who did not identify himself approached me and I told him why I was there-to see the Verona set I ordered. He got a copy of my order and then informed me that Kevin had ordered the wrong set-- something called "Milan". He then proceeded to show me the Milan, which I tried out and spoke more with the unnamed salesman. He then advised me that the Verona was not something in stock and would take 6-8 weeks to arrive and also that it would be more expensive. He advised that I call back the following day to talk with Steve and get the issue resolved but not to worry, they would "make it right and take care of me". Wed. 7/8/2020, called Kevin and he verified he had indeed ordered the wrong set. He said he needed to speak to the store manager regarding price of the Verona, availability, etc. Advised me to call back the next day. Thurs 7/9/2020 spoke with Kevin again-- he advised the Verona is a special order item and it would take 6-8 weeks, and they would honor the price I already paid, however they did not have anything in stock so I could see the color of the Walnut Verona, which is what we wanted to order from its appearance online. We were not interested in the Chocolate color they had available for us to see. Kevin advised he did not have any swatches and wouldn't be able to get any for several weeks. At that point, I advised him to please cancel my order. He said he would need to have the "Office manager" process it and she wouldn't be back in the office until the next day. Fri 7/10/2020 called to speak to office manager-- was told she was not available but they would leave a message for her to call me. Sat 7/11/2020 called and spoke to Kevin-- he again advised that office manager "Beth" wasn't in on weekends but she would be in Monday and take care of things. I expressed my concern that we were getting the run around and that I felt they were basically playing games at this point and we felt they weren't going to issue our refund. He assured me that was not the case at all and to talk to Beth Monday. Monday 7/13/2020 Called King's around 11:08am and was told Beth was "not in the building" but would return my call within 30-60 minutes. No call. At 2pm I called King's and Beth answered. I asked her when the refund would be processed and she said she would have to see if the manufacturer had started production on the furniture ---had to go through the whole story with her all over again explaining there wasn't any furniture ordered! She then tells me that all sales are final and no refunds are given. I explained that they never had the product we paid for in their store and available for delivery, as we were told or we never would have paid for anything. Also explained that the furniture we HAD wanted was not available and was a several month wait, which we were not interested in doing. Read moreI bought a sofa and loveseat on August 9th, 2023 for my mother for her birthday. I live out of state. Salesperson was extremely nice and accommodating to her needs. In December when I returned back to Ohio for the holiday I become aware of the problems that started happening with the poor quality of purchase. I called and spoke to Beth who assured me they would get the problem fixed, but they needed to send out a technician. He was out of state for holiday so I had scheduled him for the 1st week of January. He notated the problem with furniture, did what he could while there, then ordered parts. Since January I have been given every lie and run around possible up to today. I was assured by Beth in February that all new cushions would be in stock at their store within a week to 10 days and she would send tech out with them. I asked specifically what was going to be done when said cushions didn’t fix frame/spring failure. Beth’s response was she had to follow this protocol in order to deal with factory and warranty. Thinking the issue had been dealt with, I found out a few weeks ago that they had not reached out to my mother, nor had anything been done to fix the furniture. I called and the sales manager said Beth would call next morning. 48 hours later still no call, so I called to get to the bottom of it. Beth says in phone call that she had just received cushions that day and I would receive call for technician to come out today. I receive a text a little bit ago saying tech would be out in 20 minutes. He calls and says because of packaging he can’t come out because he has no way to transport. I hung up and called Beth yet again, only to be lied to and jerked around some more on this issue. I can say I became more than heated. My mother and brother are either to take off work tomorrow or Friday to wait on them to deliver or they or myself can pick them up. When asked about what was going to be done about the sagging frame, I was told, per her paperwork, that there is nothing wrong with frame. The incompetence and the lies just keep spinning out of control to keep from having to replace the garbage I was sold. Don’t walk, run from buying from this company! They do not honor the product they sell, nor do they honor customer after sales. I’m in this business, therefore I know when things aren’t adding up and when I’m being lied to. Covid can no longer be blamed, this is pure incompetence and obviously an attempt to run the warranty out on the furniture. This time we dealt with Roy and Joe it was the same experience as the first time when we dealt with sal. Great selection of furniture and great service. I get a washing machine from rent to own that cost me $150 a month. I got an entire solid wood king bedroom set from King's furniture. It's financed through a company they go through and my payment is $149 a month. And it's not a small set it's the king headboard footboard and rails with six storage drawers underneath and two nightstands, the chest of drawers, and the dresser with a mirror. They're all solid wood and very solidly built. And I also got a mattress. Before you go anywhere else or go to rent to own, go to Kings first. I know they have a location in Hamilton and I believe miamisburg. We have gone to the Hamilton location both times. We didn't get there till 10 minutes before they closed and they still took their time once again and helped us get the furniture we wanted. The first time we bought furniture the two guys that delivered it were professional, very clean and did a great job putting everything together. And they also make sure that once it's together that you like the way it looks where it is. This time we had sam and Omar deliver our furniture and they gave us the same great service. I think they had more than 20 different bedroom sets to choose from but they also have couches, chairs, tables, dining room tables, bookcases everything you can think of. And they're opening a new bigger store down the street in Hamilton a big Warehouse or showroom show that will have even more furniture. Since I hadn't bought a bedroom set in a long time I looked online to see what new styles were out before we went there and they have all the latest styles and looks. But most of all from looking online to see what new stuff is out there I also saw the prices. We paid less with King's furniture for solid wood furniture then we would have going somewhere else for pressboard furniture. So if you don't want to waste a bunch of time looking around at all the different furniture places trust me when I say just go straight to King's furniture you'll get the best deal, the best price, the best service of anywhere...
