Skyline Chili — Restaurant in Miami Township

This skyline is sadly very UNSANITARY - went in to order a couple chili cheese dogs and as I stood there waiting for my food, not only did they have a mess of food all over the counter they where making the food on but they didn't one time clean this surface as they took out more buns and just threw them on this dirty surface... Not only that though, the person making the food also was touching his face - WITH his gloves on, wiped them on his clothes and then proceeded to continue to handle food without changing his gloves. From working in the food industry im appalled this was even allowed...nothing about this location was sanitary or clean and I would not want to eat food knowing it came off such an unclean surface... The staff thankfully was very nice and had no issue refunding us for this issue... But with the fact we have not only just had a pandemic making people have a need for cleanliness & sanitation you would think in a restaurant like this they would have found another way to make these hot dogs in a much cleaner manner... Not all on the same surface anything and everything is touching and being sat down on... Mine as well make the food on the front counter If that's the case at least that counter gets wiped down :( Was just sad to see this at one of My favorite restaurants. Would highly NOT recommend eating at this location what so ever!! I wish I took a picture to validate this review but I didn't have my phone...

This is the 4th time we have had something wrong with our order from this Skyline on Kingston. 1. Charged Double using Google pay, was told it didn't go through the first time so I used my normal debit card paying twice. Order one cheesecake and one chocolate cake was given 2 chocolate 3. Ordered small 5 way and received a small cup of chili with cheese. These are all basic mistakes that I had receipt for. When trying to explain to these employees they never take responsibility or try to make it right. They just act like they don't understand and have you repeat yourself over and over. When I ask for management I was given a survey card and a name. Can't even do the survey without a code number that is not on the receipt. At 76 years old my husband should not have to put up with this. He has been eating Skyline for 50+ years and now having to drive across Dayton to avoid the "bad store". I honestly believe the store manager don't know how bad it is, they are surly not...

We have been visiting Skyline By the Dayton Mall for probably 30 years. Started at their original location and now a frequent visitor at their current, freestanding location. Mark, Cindy and Chris have always provided an excellent experience and this is our favorite Skyline. Their portions and cheese are always hearty. They don’t skimp on the chili. Their servers have always been great. Many of them we have seen go from teenagers to adults to parents with children. It is a true family restaurant. Several know our order when we sit down and we appreciate those extra touches to make us feel special. The food is the real highlight though! You can’t go wrong with a 3 Way, 4 way or 5 way. A chili dog or chili sandwich (minus the dog) is always a hit. Their Greek salad is awesome and my son absolutely loves their wraps. There is something for everyone so don’t assume it is only chili!
