Fresco y Más — Attraction in Miami

Always always always always always always crowded.

This place is ALWAYS crowded, and making that worse, this place is ALWAYS understaffed. They never have enough people working, and always seem to be hiring. They never have more than 3 or 4 of the checkout aisles open and they don't have an automated checkout system to make up for it.

The people who work here aren't at fault, they do their best but this place is just a mess without enough people to work here.

On top of all that, this place always ends up selling expired food or food infested with bugs. Not intentionally, as in the expiration dates aren't changed, they just simply don't have enough people there so they end up with food in stock that passes its expiration date and not enough people to get around to restocking it.

The only positive to this place is the constant sales and deals and overall lower prices. It used to be a Winn Dixie but they changed it to Fresco Y Mas despite it being owned by the same parent company and still accepting Winn Dixie cards and coupons. If they changed it to try to appeal to the heavily hispanic neighborhood, they could at least put more effort into hiring and paying their workers better so the place doesn't come across like a dump...

I only shopped at this location because it's only less then 5 minutes from my house, I refrain from shopping here on a regular basis. Staff for most of the time they go about their job as costumers come second. Many items on shelves do not have prices, many areas are too tight or blocked were items are not easly reachable and while the store had a face lift, customer's restrooms are stuck in an area one has to cross through the stock area and before going throug the double doors there's horrible odor of rotten food all the way to the bathroom. Floors are filthy dirty, drinking water is only accessible when merchendise is not blocking it, that's only if I will trust to drink out if it. Im diabetic with a sensitive bladder & only use restroom when no choice. This could be a code violation. Please reconsider from making this the employees & cutomers restroom, if should not...

Formerly Winn-Dixie, now Fresco! It has it's ups and downs literally. Sometimes the store is pristine and there are great deals in all areas of the store other times it looks like its under construction again with lots of general produce / Dairy / frozen or other items out of stock. I note deals as something that shifts a lot because I liked this Winn-Dixie for its prices, however the deals at Fresco seem inconsistent and the quality of produce seems to vary every time I come in (maybe twice a month). The new cafeteria in the bakery section is great! I love their empanadas and breakfast deals. That seems to be the only consistently good thing in the new Fresco. Despite being pretty small I can always get parking and be in and out quickly. Lines are only bad in the evenings around...
