OfficeMax — Attraction in Michigan City

I'm not giving the store 5 stars. If I had to give the store a rating it would be a 3. I went in today with my 2 kiddos (1 and 5). My frustration level was already high because it was a busy morning and this was my last stop. Anyhow I went to the printing station and was told I couldn't print right of my laptop. They gave me a few options and I chose to email the form. Now im not that great at doing anything on the computer so i really did need the help as far as what to do. The 1st man just left me to figure it out on my own. (Meanwhile my kids are running around only making my frustration higher.) I couldn't pull the form up and get it to my email and was just ready to pack up and leave. Another man which I'm assuming was the manager came over and asked if I need help. I told him I was just going to go and he insisted on helping get what I need done. It took all of maybe 2 minutes. He download the form to a stick(which was not an option the 1st man gave me) and printed. He could see I was highly frustrated not being able to get the form and with the kids, he didn't let me leave without getting what needed to be done DONE. Just wanted to say thank you to that man. Worst customer service ever. Went in looking for color laserjet multifunction printer, An associate comes by asks if I needed help with anything. I tell him what i am looking for and his reply is we don't have many of those and he turns and walks away returning to front desk area chatting with a young lady and drumming with a pen on the counter. Come to find out the young lady is the manager on duty. Walked out and won't be going back!! This is why this store will fail in Michigan City. I usually buy printers and such online but I really wanted to check it out firsthand and compare Toner cartridge prices for the models that they carried to get the best price per page with decent quality. If the sales staff her doesn't have a clue about what they have or what they sell why even hire them. I used to buy quite a few things there but since the merger and new location they are going downhill FAST I wouldn't recommend this store for office equipment or supplies.Other stores not supposedly specializing in Office supplies and such would be a...

Placed an order online. I went to the store to pick up my order. Bri told me my order wouldn't be ready until he next day because I ordered 13 minutes after the same day pick up time. She refused to do anything because the person working in the printing department had left for the day. I expressed that was an inconvenience to me and I requested to speak to the store manager. She called the store manager Shannon and she was also no help. I asked her at least for a in store credit for the amount so that I could print. She repeated the same thing Bri told me and she quickly told Bri to cancel the order without my consent. Its been 7 days and I still don't have a refund or credit. Then while exiting the store at 7:29 both doors were locked. They took extremely long to open them to let me leave and there was no good byes or nice day. Just eye rolling...
