My Wife and I have our hands fill with 2 2year old twins. My one daughter has a tracheostemy, which means we have to bring our equipment always. Things like a ventilator and oxygen tank. I always looked at the Mall as the best in the area. Everybody was always so friendly, was never any issues in there. About 2 hours ago a half hour after being in the JC Penney with no air conditioning. After sweating like crazy I decided to treat my wife and daughter with a frozen lemonade and a cinnamon pretzel. We walked over to the Auntie anns on the upper floor near the foodcourt. The cashier (who was with a another woman) seemed friendly at first. Saying hello to my non-tracheostomy daughter and just being nice I thought. The minute I wasn't looking while I was paying the man and woman started pointing and discussing my daughter with the tracheostemy while speaking another language. I know this because I had a bad feeling he was discussing my baby girl. I asked the man, "what are you two saying?", which he blatantly responded nervously, "I was just saying to her if she looks ok.". By his reaction, my daughter's both sitting playing with there toys completely safe, and the fact that they were speaking and pointing for about a minute before I interrupted the, I know a lot more was said right in front of my face. My wife happened to hear this and was upset on the brink of tears. A woman appearing to be in charge working at the food store next to them aggressively came running over looking at my wife and I and said, "Is there a problem over here?!". She must have thought My wife and I were the ones in the wrong. However after I explained that the man was talking about my child and that he admitted it she immediately apologized. After this and convincing my teary eyed wife that everything was going to be ok, we decided to end our trip to Oxford Valley prematurely. We immediately left. We felt so uncomfortable we had to go. It is sad, we try very hard as parents to give both of our children and ourselves family time out, and now i dont know if we could even return to the mall after knowing our child might be discussed by any cashier in the mall. Sad, we have to find a new place where the staff at every store is respectful and know the true meaning of...
Read morePoor food court choices aside from Chao Cajun. Amazing Bourbon Chicken and Honey Chicken. Very good pricing, as well. Also on the edge of the food court is a Cold Stone Creamery. There is also a Dunkin kiosk. Outside of the food court is an Auntie Anne's that's busy but usually stocked well. The Foot Locker here is the best in the area. Air Force 1 selection is second to none other in the area. GameStop, Starbucks, Color-Me-Mine are all upstairs. Electronic device repair kiosks can be foubd in both the food court and lower level. The Disney Store, Build-a-Bear and Gertrude Hawk are on the southern end where the abandoned Boscov's sits. This mall entrance as well as the food court entrance is always crawlig with smokers breathing in your face as you walk in or out. The large department stores here include a Macy's, Sears and JC Penney. All are two stories. Sears has a convenient elevator close to where it connects with the mall. Exiting the mall and into Sears, turning right you can find it. Two extremely large and lockable family bathrooms can be found on the second floor opposite of the Sears Department Store. The mall has multiple phone carrier stores and kiosks. Two T-Mobile and at least one Verizon which are located on the lower level. Near the Build-a-Bear is a bungee jump where kids and adults of nearly all sizes can jump for either 3 minutes @$7 or 5 minutes @$10. The best direct mall parking is near the Disney store on the lower level. The next being the food court (upper level in the center of the mall) aside from holiday shopping periods. In that case,...
Read moreI just want to start by saying that I am not the type of person to take the time out of my day to write a review but I am so agitated by the terrible experiences with the Oxford Valley Mall photos with Santa. Yes, that’s right, my family experienced back to back awful experiences (2021&2022) with the photos with Santa. This has nothing to do with Santa himself. I want to make it very clear, both Santa’s from each year were absolutely amazing with both of my kids. Both bad experiences were due to the malls lack of scheduling and photo experience. 2021- I selected the 2:00 pm time slot and didn’t actually get the photos taken until 4pm. Two hours of waiting in line, watching the two inexperienced teenage workers allow all of the guests in the express line to bypass all of the guests who scheduled a time slot. 2022- is scheduled a 12:15pm time slot and didn’t get the photos taken until 1:45pm. There was only 4 families in front of me in line. There was also only ONE worker running the show. One employee taking the photos, helping the family with the selection and then checking them out. It’s an absolute disgrace that a mall like Oxford Valley can’t seem to run a functional photos with Santa. I feel terrible for the two gentlemen that play Santa each year because they truly are amazing. They should take their talent elsewhere. I highly recommend you take your family to another location for Santa photos because Oxford Valley mall will only ruin...
