Home of the Midland Rockhounds (Double-A affiliate for the MLB Oakland Athletics). Good food, good off the field entertainment and always great baseball.

Features You would not believe the food selection is this good at a semi-pro baseball game. Alcohol served and an in house Dominos pizza. West Texas always has decent weather throughout the spring, summer and fall months so hardly any delayed games The team is actually good!! They won 4 Texas League Championships in a row during the 2010's. And have sent up some great players like Matt Chapman and Khris Davis of the Oakland A's. Affordable. Even behind home plate seating is decently priced and watching a game is almost free if you sit in the outfield grass area.

Drawbacks -A lot of hecklers (AKA drunk people) especially on weekend games -Not great foul ball protection. Netting only goes a little past 1st and 3rd base so be aware of the game if netting is not...

A good ballpark in which to enjoy some baseball! I caught a game while visiting Midland and Odessa for a weekend, and thought that the ballpark compared well to other Double-A facilities I've been to (almost all of the Texas League). The concession stands offer a good selection of food options, and there are souvenirs for sale.

One tip--so that you don't make the mistake I did--when the nice ladies at the ice cream stand offer to put hot fudge on your ice cream helmet sundae, politely decline. I said yes, and that molten chocolate only made my sundae melt that much faster on a 94-degree evening! (It was tasty, though.) Beautiful Ballpark with top-notch services and facilities for Minor League Team. Playground and water play area for the kids should have been enough but the one thing that keeps this place from 5 Stars is that Horrible Kiddie Train ride that seems to only take away from the Baseball experience. 20-minute wait to get on a 20 min ride that has no special experience that walking can't see or do in half the time. I missed 4 full innings of good ball because the kids just had to ride the slow, loud, boring and sad train that only pulls 3 cars for 12 or so kids and adults.
